I went to Canada back in 2001 or 2002, to one of those resorts that the only way to get there is by riding a boat for an hour. No cell service, definitely no internet, and no TV - hell the power was thanks to a generator.

While I've all but given up Facebook, I can see how this would be useful for many.

Test prototype or fake. Granted the images are terrible, but there's no way that's a apple-quality product. The screen looks simulated too.

On my Pro it's subtle but noticeable. Everything is more fluid, move faster. Particularly when I have one high CPU app - like a FCPx render - no longer does the rest of the system seem sluggish, at all.

I upgraded, and am happy I did. Speed wise it definitely feels faster than Lion did (Late 2011 15in Pro), and Safari is starting to win me back. Notification Center I didn't think I'd care about, but I'll admit - it's nice.

Links? I'm going by my eye, and dynamic range on the S3 is just.. not there. It's close, but not close enough considering whatever Apple next has up it's sleeve will likely be another jump.

I've bought plenty of used machines, in fact I'm typing this on a HP EliteBook 8440p that I bought used off eBay last year.

Except for in this instance, ICS was built on what is - essentially - a S2 (the Galaxy Nexus). Nevermind the fact that the Galaxy S will never get Ice Cream Sandwich, regardless of the fact that the Nexus S - same hardware! - got it, and will get Jelly Bean.

Did you read my original reply?

Owning both an iPhone 4 (not S, missed that by 3 months) and a Galaxy Nexus, and having had a S3 for a week - neither Samsung phone has a camera that comes close to the iPhone 4, and the 4S is significantly better than the 4.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD202's that I got off B&H or Amazon (can't remember which) for $20 that are phenomenal. Seriously, they outright amaze me for the price point, I bought them for monitoring audio when filming onsite for work - something that I actually wanted a cheap pair I could beat up and not feel bad

I bought some Skullcandy Titan earbuds at the very last minute before getting on a plane two or three years ago. I expected nothing from them, figuring at $40 they were overpriced bling, but I've consistently been more than happy with them. I use them for watching media when in bed on my iPad, or when riding my

Good question - and the answer is yes and no. :) I have both photo stream and Dropbox now syncing my photos on my iPhone, the latter is a recent edition. While I've been a Dropbox user for years, just last week I finally cleared enough space to start syncing photos - which in part was due to the Galaxy Nexus

For the iPad, yes, I'm cool with 16GB. I'm still on the fence about the Nexus 7 because the upgrade is just so damn cheap. 8 might be a stretch, but 16 would be plenty.

In the first year I had it, I used my iPad pretty much all the time. Now I don't as I've found that it's getting slow in it's old age, I have laptops and smartphones and paper that do it's job better, and yeah - all of the above.

I long for the day at my main gig when I can finally get us moved from Exchange to Google Apps. For even the most hardcore business type, Google Apps/Gmail is more than good enough - I use it for my side work, and have been a Gmail user since Gmail was in beta.

Agreed in volumes. I've had four Android phones now: HTC Hero, Samsung Moment, HTC EVO 4G and the Nexus S. I'll never again get a non-Nexus, as I was finally able to get my EVO to be "decent" after a year and a half of custom ROM's, kernels, and hacks.

What kayakj said. It's easier to make a low quality display look appealing by throwing off the calibration. Just ask any designer that's tried to use a glossy MacBook Pro for production work, they'll rant about the lack of accuracy. It will look great on that one display, but in print or on another display it won't

I have to have matte displays, LED backlit, and ideally high gamut IPS. I simply cannot stand yellowing displays, glossy displays, or washed out displays. As an example I bought a new MacBook Pro in January and originally got the glossy as the store was out of the Matte build they stocked. Two days later I was back

I've had an M-Stand for several years now, and this is how my desk has evolved due to it. I got the Pro back in January, and I've actually often used it on the stand with just the keyboard and magic trackpad. Mine has the highres matte screen and honestly? It works awesome as a desktop replacement. I love the
