Bingo. You can of course go DisplayPort to HDMI via an adapter (yay for Monoprice.com!) but if you're like me, you will have a dozen adapters and not remember where any are. Onboard HDMI would be a huge boon for me, frankly, but not enough to ditch my almost new MBP for a new-new one.

I'm reserving judgement on it, I'll concede, but I'm not hopeful. For my mobile working I bought a new MBP this January and gave the glossy model a chance - two of them, in fact - until finally not being able to stand it and getting a matte. Yes I made full use of Apple's 30 day return policy. :)
