well, don't we find out in a later episode that clayface has been struggling to pull himself together for a while? maybe his invulnerability has been diminished?

"and yes, the look of these episodes is much more kid-friendly"

Maybe this the start of the whole DCAU darkening morally, but the TNBA featured a much gruffer Bruce/Gotham to contrast him with Supes. And then there's the end of "Legacy," with Superman practically crippling Darkseid. This was the 4th major extraterrestrial invasion, so maybe this was the final straw?

I'm partial to him growling "THAT'S NOT HELPING" when Flash blows a hole in Wayne Manor and nearly kills Alfred.

Yea, what's also nice about that line is the way it subtly addresses race (both in its content and in who delivers the line), which these shows do better than most 'mature' shows. Again, credit to the late Mr. McDuffie.

Tim is there with Alfred, I believe, reppin' the Wayne clan.

I love WW's explanation of Batman's refusal to join the league: "He doesn't handle loss well."

I really would have liked to learn more about DCAU Dr. Fate. He first popped up in S:TAS, as a bitter old (or older than you can imagine) man who's dragged back into battle. There's so much that you could mine with a fully-formed character like that.

I didn't know the Ophidians angle was created for the show. Not the strongest revision. Also, doesn't the opening feature 'footage' from one of the soldier's mounted cameras? I've always thought that was pretty cool for some reason.
