They never went to France, but the name Night Monkey was used throughout Europe.

Exorcist III doesn’t get any credit because Exorcist II was so bad but it is a very good horror movie.

Worst scare? Hey, how ‘bout those concession prices, amirite?

Oh well.  What do you wanna bet I watch this anyway?

Maybe it doesn’t count as “lesser known” but Postcards from the Edge is so good. Hilarious script - by Carrie Fisher of course, and I just love Meryl in comedies. Her timing is impeccable in this one - plus you have Shirley MacLaine... and I just love Meryl’s little song at the end,.

Someone did an animated (I think) adaptation of the Sandman episode with the crazy guy in the diner.  (Sorry, I’ve read the series at least three times but don’t remember titles or names I guess.)  I’ve never seen it or sought it out but I did hear it was good.  Anyone here seen it...?

I’m going to start a Twitter account for a random show from the 70's. I’m thinking Banacek.

The soundtrack really was the saving grace, but it’s been years since I’ve seen it. Surprised to hear it doesn’t hold up!

She was one of the best things about Farewell My Lovely, a movie chock full of best things.

Mrs. Maisel is hilarious.

Spielberg’s first film was a 1971 TV movie. ‘Duel’

I have researched Resurrection Mary plenty over the years.

The question became, for me, who would I rather sit around drinking with? Justin Long or John Hodgman? That’s why I have a pc.

Aw, too bad. I’ve only seen a few episodes but it’s a reliably funny show. I hope the whole run hits Netflix or Prime soon because I want to catch up, and I think nbc.com blocks some of the episodes?  Maybe I’m misremembering.  Anyway I’m sure everyone involved will go on to new projects - the whole cast is fantastic.

I like this movie a lot. Reading this article it occurred to me that Terence Malick did similar things for Thin Red Line: a lot of vignettes, multiple perspectives, stars in small roles. Malick has always used actors as actors, not as stars: if only one scene Clooney was in, for instance, fits the narrative, then

Sorry - it’s even cooler that Mayor Pete probably knows full well who Alfred E is, probably read MAD all the time. His response to Trump made the president look old and out of touch, made Pete seem young and hip, and pivoted back to what a president’s job should be. Win win win.

I didn’t know she had appeared on Angie Tribeca - so sweet that she did.

I guess I really didn’t know there were “Thanos was right” people. Maybe I’m crazy but.... genocide never seemed like a good idea to me. Am I too sensitive, or just too Jewish?

Rather, these were folks who could ACT.

I didn’y mind the Girls Rule pandering bit - thought it was a bit, you know, timely and me-tooish, but it was fine. I hasten to add that I’m a guy and my opinion on this shouldn’t matter.
