There is no question that is a problem, and I agree with you 100%. The unfortunate reality is that adults DO take kids' sports far too freaking seriously, and many eventually feel it's not worth the hassle to deal with them.

As someone who did this for a few years (and not for the money), I can tell you that's a bit of a rationalization.
