Can you even uninstall iTunes from OS X? Its a core component isn't it? The other bits of iCloud just replace the mobileme tab in system preferences, so yeah, you can do contact and calendar sync etc without iTunes, but that isn't a new feature.

I take your point, but iOS is by far the most popular tablet OS. Android might be more popular on phones, but the phone versions suck ass on a tablet, and the tablet version is far from the most popular.
