Not to mention that they wanted to have the parade in SF until public outcry forced them otherwise.
The guy that jumps out at me isn’t Waiters and Ibaka but Roberson. He’s been found money over the past 2 games for OKC.
He’s taken it to another level. I’ve never thought of Durant as being a poor defender by any means, but I never thought of him as an elite shutdown wing or rim protector, either; I’ve just thought of him as, you know, there. But now, he’s everywhere...and it’s glorious. This, combined with watching Westbrook go super…
Seeing Durant playing defense with manic energy like that gives me chills. This is what I love about playoff basketball!
Same goes for the New York/Jersey Giants/Jets
It is really sad because Oakland is such a large part about who they are as a team.
They’re going to build a holo-deck dome in the middle of Dolores park, where you can rent Oculus Rift units for $5,000 a game and pretend you’re actually in the game, shooting three pointers and getting cursed out by Draymond Green.
Have to give Jacob his props for time traveling back in time to draft Curry before he even bought the team.
“Wow, maybe James Dolan isn’t so bad after all!”
Man at control panel wearing headset: Sir, it’s the advanced stats, they’re redlining.
I’m not rooting for the Warriors by any means(I’m a disgusting Knicks fan and love to see everything turn to shit because of that) but man. These takes are getting out of control. Had to summon all of their ability to beat the Trailblazers? I love Lillard but come on man.
This Thunder team beat a historically good…
No disagreement from me. I thought it was crazy.
If watching Steph dribble and shoot is like sitting behind Monet as he paints the water lilies, then watching Russ is like watching Jackson Pollock go ape shit on the 8' x 11' canvas.
They aren’t a good defensive team scheme-wise but they are freakishly athletic. You can’t play that swarm style in the regular season or they’d be worn down by New Year’s. Very reminicant of the 80's NBA.
The strategy by the Thunder to just switch everything, rather than running under screens is the key. Most teams don’t have bigs as athletic as Adams and Ibaka who, while they can’t shut down Curry coming off the screens can at least slow him enough without giving up the blow by. That is a huge advantage for them in…
One thing I haven’t seen anyone talk about is the physicality with which OKC is covering Curry. They haven’t been letting him run free around those screens like usual, which oddly enough I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else even try to do.
Man, I love all these hot takers who think the last two years of basketball have been invalidated by a team with Westbrook and Durant and a healthy/good enough supporting cast peaking at the right time and playing with volcanic intensity.
This is an ass-kicking. The Thunder are playing so much better than they did in the regular season, it’s bizarre. Fun to watch though.
We are fast approaching an OKC- Toronto Finals.
