While the content and gameplay itself might not be bad, if the performance of the game is the way people are describing it, then from a technical standpoint the game is bad.

And sadly first impressions tend to be final in most cases. Take for example, ESO, it had a terrible launch and even though the game is fantastic nowadays, most people remember that horrible launch and base their opinion on that.
In this case it’s not a matter of whether the game could live up to the hype/expectations or not. In this case, it’s a matter of releasing a functioning product. Hello Games have no control over fan expectations, but they certainly have control over releasing a competent product.
Same here. I been thinking about getting it for a while, but at first I was skeptical because I figured I might get bored after 10 hours or so. So far judging by reviews and videos, I think that might be the case, still I wanted to give it a shot.
I been thinking about getting this game for a while. But due to being hooked with ESO and Deus Ex coming out soon, I was hesitant to get it. After this whole debacle, I think I should definitely go with getting Deus Ex.
This is my conclusion as well. People weren’t concerned about the gun, they saw that stache and thought he was a villain. Probably tied a damsel to the tracks and all.
This is very interesting. So this is basically a scenario where the game is technically more efficient, but nostalgia somehow makes people think it’s worse?
How about Rocksteady? Or are they owned by Warner?
Yeah that was very impressive, especially for its time.
But isn’t Respawn a EA studio?
If Zelda barely got a mention for its 30th anniversary, I doubt they’ll do anything for Metroid. Unless they consider Federation Force their “celebration”.
Pretty much, Varia sounds more unique.
I imagine that NX will have a Super Smash Bros. 4 version. Probably some sort of GOTY edition with maybe some new characters. Honestly Smash 4 is so big, that it would make sense to capitalize on that and just make it bigger on NX.
And make a MetroidxZelda crossover game to boot.
That’s a shame. Everything I heard from WoW pre Cata was that it was a very fun world to interact with people while doing the content.
That thing looks like it came straight out of the 90s.
Man, that sounds super cool. WoW always seems to me like one of those things where you had to be there when it happened to truly appreciate it. I tried to play it a couple of months ago and while it was enjoyable, it was nowhere near as memorable as the tales I hear that people had.
Same, tried it a couple of months and I enjoyed it a bit, but eventually I stopped. Recently got into ESO and I enjoyed that the combat is a bit more dynamic and active, rather than waiting. I might be biased, however, as I’m a big TES fan and so far the world has immersed me more than Azaroth.
I never got to play WoW in its heyday as I had no stable internet or pc back then. Only played it a couple of months ago. I’m very curious about how its social aspect used to be, as one of the first things I noticed is that everyone seems to move from point a to point b without ever interacting with others.
I been playing ESO for a couple of months now and I been enjoying it similar to first image rather than the second one. It’s a lot of fun that way.
