I got into a social media debate with a left-leaning woman about this. She was indignant, arguing that it was unfair to “lump her in with those submissive, soccer mom Trump-supporting housewife types”. She brought up irrelevant things, like how, when she worked with “poor youth” (her code for African American youth) sh

My mother’s friend was involved in one of these. She was selling some ‘miracle’ face product. She was able to pull my mother in because I’ve had ongoing dermatological issues since I was a teen and the promise that it might help made it irresistible. My mother’s friend exploited my painful history in showing my

Yes exactly. Yolanda Hadid showed how it’s done.

Non-American here. Just wondering, would being able to tick that their parents will pay tuition fees in full be a leg-up?

When I was in high school I had severe cystic acne. People found it confronting to look at me and my parents were amazing cause they didn’t deny what they were seeing with their own eyes (others’ reactions) when we were out. They didn’t try the ‘you’re still beautiful’ line. They just heard my pain and sympathised.

In Australia you can’t get the Centrelink childcare benefit (social security payments that help with the cost of childcare) if you can’t show that your kids are vaccinated. You also can’t send them to a publicly funded childcare centre in all (or most?) states and territories. Hippies retaliated by saying they’d open

I’m guessing their moms are usually ‘homebirth moms’ as well?

It’s the same in Australia. Hippies/hipsters in Byron Bay in NSW, Fremantle in Western Australia, etc. Anti-vaccination speaking events sell out quick in such places. Such people are so convinced by their own “research” that they think they don’t need to listen to the advice of immunology experts.

Thank you! Very similar situation for me; severe cystic acne as a teenager and it affected my self-esteem immeasurably. It makes me roll my eyes when people act like acne experiences are all of the hormonal variety. Some of us have to go on very serious medications. I still see scars every time I look in the mirror.

Yep. We love Uniqlo. I got an awesome dress from there.

Fellow tea-avoiding Brit here. I really do feel like a traitor when I go back to visit. I also have this weird thing about tea/coffee rings at the bottom of a cup...you know that ring left when people have ‘finished’ their tea? It freaks me out for some strange reason and I have this compulsion to wash it out if I see

She’s already been on it for ages. No success there.

Yes, her nightclub deal was certainly an ~interesting choice.

She’s more of a Parliaments kinda gal. Apparently they’re like chewing glass when it comes to your voice.

I regret that I’ve promoted some of his theories on here. His language is so misogynistic. His correct blind about Lindsay and Paris was insane and that’s what got me interested in his blog originally. It’s so weird to me that Paris is still pinching at Lindsay all these years later, but when I’m reminded of the power

My dad is from a state in Australia known for its fresh and high quality food. Not only is the soil incredibly fertile, but homemade cooking skills were/are a widespread phenomenon because the population was and is so spread out that people do it to survive. If you want a good restaurant scene, Sydney or Melbourne is

It’s a fan account, not her own. She has millions of followers.

I don’t know that she used to dance much. Probably just hung out in the VIP area - and the bathroom.
