The first book is like 200 pages, and this is supposedly more of a sequel than a direct adaptation.

Having not been there, I think it's really hard to pass judgement here. A director (or writer/producer/showrunner/etc) can be perfectly willing to take "notes" from the performer, but the performer also has a responsibility to perform as directed.

Absolutely untrue. A director's first responsibility, just like anyone else, is making sure everyone goes home safe.

The Landis thing, by all accounts I've heard, was a result of pushing the helicopter into dangerous situations. Different form of negligence, but only in flavor, not degree.

Landis was personal on grata for a long time. He was a huge director at the time and was working on a movie Steven Spielberg was producing (I've heard conflicting accounts as to whether Spielberg was there the day of the incident or not).

But then how would you get to write condescending articles?

I went out and asked people a question, and when I didn't agree with the answer, I wrote an article.

You're telling the woman most in the foreground of that photo looks comfortable with it?

Posting a rant on social media is vastly different than posting photos of people.

I would argue in Coulter's case, partially obscuring her face is the best case scenario for the mask.

Or something about being crammed into a big metal tube treated like cattle with credit cards, with ever decreasing standards of comfort and service, breathing air which is almost scientifically calibrated to increase the chances of contracting any airborne illness…

Go reread how she handled the incident, not the cause itself.

Willful obstinate ignorance?

Embarrassment? You don't get to claim embarrassment when it's your own fucking Twitter account publicizing the goddamn thing.

Flight attendants aren't supposed to answer for it on the spot. That's what customer service is for.

As mentioned repeatedly elsewhere, being annoyed at having a seat you chose and paid extra for reassigned is understandable.

Who the fuck cares why they were moved around? Maybe it was just to sit with the rest of her party.

Take the issue to customer service like a normal, sane human being?

Or even in the original story about Dao being pulled off the United flight, for that matter?

"Let someone there know they fucked up" would be stopping at the customer service desk after the flight or writing a letter to the company.
