If anyone in 2012 doesn't know that smoking is bad for you, they win the idiot of the year award. I always laugh when people seem to suggest that smokers are incapable of knowing that smoking is bad for them. It's just a way to spend more tax dollars, I guess.
Oreo's filling is nothing but Crisco and powdered sugar. How would anyone think it was Trans Fat free? :P
Yes indeed! Hydrox were better! Of course, Oreos really aren't that good to begin with ...
To turn boring into generic bland?
Ugh! Sadly, yes, this person did not know. It should be obvious unless he's only been around ignorant people pronouncing it that way. Voilà is French for "Here it is." WA LA is internet speak for "I'm ignorant."
Yeah I've heard about the Dumont studios. It's like how the BBC and others used to record over old broadcasts (which is why Johnny Carson looked so muddy and much of the early Doctor Who is lost for good.)
It's not just gaming, sadly. It is said that 90% of all Silent films and 50% of all taking films made before 1950 are lost forever. Universal literally torched their entire silent catalog because, in their minds, no one would ever want to see these movies again.
When you're a kid, sure. I liked my Big Wheel when I was a kid but I outgrew it. I can see some nostalgia for Godzilla, Mario and other pop culture icons but Star Wars I just never got why people obsessed over it well into their adult years.
I didn't see Star Wars until I was in my 20s. I don't know if it's the hype or waiting until I was in my 20s or people are just nostalgic or what but I just thought it was pretty boring and silly.
I'm not loving Unity. For the moment I'm chugging along on Mint. I can't wait to see what they do in the next release!
Yeah, what's with the kids and their crappy N-Gage sidetalkin'?
Can't you compost it?
Exactly! Be a man and fold that thing in half.
Ain't that the truth!
The one that no one watched.
Bar Keeper's friend is indeed magical stuff but it is a little on the pricey side (well not really but go with me on this.) If you have a Dollar store or Big Lots around you, you can usually find cans of this lovely stuff called Old Dutch for all of $0.50. It's magical stuff and cleans sinks and bathrooms and all…
That's like when I use artificial sweeteners and people make comments about how they taste nasty compared to sugar. If sugar had no calories and diabetes wasn't something that ran in my family I'd happily drink regular Pepsi.
My burnout would be solved with better management or at least a recognition that my life has some value at the company. When you work IT, you're the cause of everyone's woes until they need something. Then you're an obstructionist when you don't rewrite massive database programs so someone can put it on their iTampon…
But you can't play traditional light gun games. I'm just joking as that's the only thing I can think of that requires a CRT.
