I disagreed with you, thought about it for a little bit, then decided I agree with you. At least one conservative likes that plan.

I always appreciate the disclosures. Not only because “ethics in game durr hurr hurr” (although that is nice to see too), but also because it’s cool to know how people in the industry are connected. It makes it feel more valid I guess. I dunno.

That would be incredible. I’m working my way through VIII right now for the first* time and it’s pretty awesome, although definitely dated.

I didn’t expect to be persuaded by your argument, but I was. Well done.

They’re better factors if you’re a liberal looking to bash conservatives. Hence me wanting to use more objective data. Hence why I’m stopping this conversation now.

...most of them. I agreed with his dissents on the ACA in 2015, his dissent in Obergefell, and his wit in the golf case way back when was way too much fun to ignore. Sadly I read his dissents much more than I read his majority opinions. His dissents are the most fun anyways. :)

That’s a fair answer. I approach it from a fundamentally different perspective (originalist) so I think I’ll stop our conversation here. It’s been a pleasure though!

I thought I said that it wasn’t exact? A lot of executive orders are used unconstitutionally, so it was a ballpark. Google didn’t reveal “top ten list of unconstitutional presidents!” so I figured I’d get a ballpark. Read more carefully next time, and if you have a better way of finding data then I’m all ears.

I figured the easiest way of figuring this out was by looking up the number of executive orders each president has made. I know it’s not exact, but it gives a good ballpark number I would say.

I’m not sure I follow. Obama (as most presidents do) has made policy decisions not based on the Constitution, so you think that makes him more qualified to interpret the Constitution? I’d love to hear the defense for that one.

I’m sorry, I legitimately don’t understand what you’re trying to say (no snark here.) You’re talking about governors/senators now? I don’t know enough about them to hold up my end of a conversation, sorry. All I know is that most of ‘em are shit anyhow, Dem or Repub.

When you say any Republican do you mean Bush Jr.? Because W. Bush definitely trampled the Constitution. He didn’t have much of a choice because of war, but it’s still not something I would forgive. Otherwise, which Republicans are you thinking of? I’m a young whippersnapper so I don’t know much past Clinton.

Heh, I tended to agree with his rulings more often than not, but your comment gave me a good chuckle. Rest in peace Justice Scalia.

A lot of people are going to say the things they’re thinking because it’s safe on the internet. I say fuck ‘em. Rest in peace, Scalia. He was a good man, a great scholar, and will be missed by conservatives and many notable liberals as well (poor RBG...)

Like him or not, I don’t think Obama has any business saying anything about the Constitution. He’s proven to do his brightest work in office when it was outside the bounds of the Constitution.

Thank you for publishing such a nice legacy for Scalia. As a liberal website it would have been very easy and safe to attack him (see: comments on the other article) but it was touching to see both Gawker and Kotaku articles post such kind thoughts about him in his passing.

Gorgeous art style. I hope the actual painting is a little bit more interactive though. Or at least have it take a few minutes so you can actually watch and appreciate the darn thing being made.

You do know we don’t live in a democracy, right? It’s called a democratic republic for a reason. Representative voting is essentially what you’re describing.
