Goddammit. They made some pretty terrific games.

.... I’ve got no complaints about her body!
To me, one of the best accomplishments in the original games is knowing the layout well enough to where you can speed to the far reaches of the screen while it's trying to scroll and keep you centered.
“Pixel art is not viable”
That $136m includes the US money, not separate. It still has aways to go to hit break even, but $100 million domestic is still encouraging for Paramount, since it should scratch at least to the break even point (it’s about $35 million away worldwide) and let them gamble on it getting a bigger following on…
Between the success of this, Coraline, and Return of the Jedi have had this year with limited re-releases, I would absolutely welcome studios bringing more classics out of the vault for random dead weekends. I’d absolutely go see stuff like Raiders or Batman ‘89 or Die Hard.
Whatever the Kinja update that just took place has completely borked the comment sections across the site, they need to hotfix it in a hurry.
That said, if 3D is the only option available, I’d still recommend it -- it’s the most incredible post conversion Ive seen to the point it almost feels like it was shot natively for it. Not even “Home Alone 2", in which he gives Kevin the wrong directions to the front desk of a hotel he owned.
“Gran Turismo finished #1 at the box office” is a sentence I’d never thought would see the light of day, but here we are, and breaking Barbie’s incredible run at #1 while it was at it.
It won’t, but it’ll have a seat at the table among the highest-grossing movies ever, so hoorays all around.
Put it this way, if it was greenlit before Iger returned and hasn’t come out yet, it’s probably getting killed, as he’s said on multiple occasions the company oversaturated itself on streaming projects.
Hell, I’m not sure it was even the weirdest/batshit show on its own channel considering Legends of Tomorrow
Well, yeah, because if they release it, they have to pay everyone involved with residuals etc. and they can’t have that, so they can write it off if it stays in the bin or sell it off to someone else and recoup, which is why all the streamers now are culling low-performing or very expensive shows from the library if…
