I work for FGC tournaments, so I’m a bit biased, but I think this is where fighting games have an esport leg up. Even if you don’t know the mechanics of a certain game, at least 1v1 fighting can be simply boiled down to “drain the other fighters health bar” to follow casually.

I wish there was a way to go back to 2017-2018 Overwatch. Was it the most perfect balanced thing? No, but it felt like it had the best/memorable kits and the right number of characters to where everyone could pick anyone regardless of meta (I don’t care Junkrat is a low-tier pick, he’s MY low-tier pick!).
