Yeah that’s the problem for Oklahoma schools. They haven’t seen a raise in 10yrs and 5% is good if there are plans to increase that year on year. Doesn’t have to be 5% every time, but annual raises should be the norm, not follow the solar eclipse cycle.

If the teachers average $45k a year, that’s a $2250 raise. These raises should happen more often. And it shouldn’t begin with everyone going on strike for 2 weeks.
