Man, a lot of boot lickers on here really wanting to die on this Pelicans management hill. The point isn’t that they created a toxic environment by not trading Davis to LA. The point is that they created the environment by squandering a generational talent to the point that he wanted out.
That’s my name too!
But is he all elite??
Nothing wrong with living/working outside the U.S, and not sure how you thought that was my argument, but having options to work overseas shouldn’t absolve us from fixing problems that exist here.
“Move to another country if you don’t like being taken advantage of” is a pretty shitty argument when a much more rational and morally appropriate response would be “let’s stop letting a billion dollar organization take advantage of these kids.”
Ouch Charlie!
When can I expect my kid to start being a picky eater? Right now I’m lucky, I’ve got an 11 month old who shovels everything I give him into his mouth no questions asked, but I know this probably won’t last.
I’m all for over the top choreographed dances, T.O. eating popcorn or pulling out a sharpie and signing the ball, Randy Moss fake mooning, etc...but I always thought the Joe Horn cell phone thing was lame. Not disrespectful or anything for these old fucks to clutch their pearls about, just lame and boring.
If I listen to an audiobook, can I still say I’ve “read” it? One of the perks of reading is getting to smugly tell someone you’ve read something, but that loses some gravitas if I have to say I’ve “listened” to a book.
“Ranked No. 69 in the world by Golfweek,”
“I’ve seen you working out here every other day for 2 weeks, and you’ve done this same bullshit all 8 times!!”
How do you go about discovering new music you like? In my 20s I feel like I was constantly discovering new songs or bands I like, but now in my mid-30s with a 7-month old kid and a house and yard that is in constant disarray, there’s just no time. I don’t really like anything mainstream/top 40 these days, so am I…
I never make it past the first 4 or 5 because these posts always go from making me laugh to making me sad real quick, but these all somehow seem more incoherent than usual. How is that possible??

Because it goes without saying that most people are working to improve their lives and situation, so it’s condescending to suggest otherwise. This type of response distracts from the actual problem. It’s how we get a Congress that is hellbent on getting rid of social safety nets, calling them “entitlement programs”,…
Here’s how you know nobody is canceling their cable because of ESPN’s perceived liberal political leanings: they’d be canceling Fox News too.
“Quit complaining and find a better job” isn’t advice, it’s condescending, and it ignores the real problem. There’s a million different reasons why a person may be in the situation they are, and there’s a million reasons why they may not be able to change it at the moment. None of those million reasons should be an…
Why do you believe your response is more reasonable than saying “a company who makes billions in profits should treat the employees who helped make those billions with humanity and respect”?
Huh? That argument might make sense if it was a ranking of all fast food items from different restaurants, but what does “supply issue” have to do with an internal ranking of menu items ordered? It’s fairly simple - people order different things from Chick-fil-a, but they almost all come with fries and a drink, it’s…
