Maybe it’s got more to do with the fact that these engines are tasked with providing even more power, and having to haul around a minimum of 5000 lbs. Whatd’ya expect?

As a frugal spender and bargain hunter (those who know me say “tight wad”, but I digress), if I had to buy a car today it would be a no brainer: the Toyota Corolla Hybrid. I consider it an absolute bargain with 47/50/43 MPG and Toyota reliability for $23.5k. Honestly, with the Fit gone from our shores, it’s all the

Seems like a case for the property lawyers. Who owns the land, who’s got what rights to pilot what vehicles there, etc?

You’re so valid for that

Maintenance savings is wildly overblown. Modern cars need VERY little maintenance of the oily bits. Everything else is the same, and it’s everything else that kills you as a car ages. And then you have all the incredibly expensive high-voltage electrical bits.

Z3 M Coupe. A skunkworks car produced afterhours by a team of enthusiasts that runs a true motorsports engine in a small, nimble, light-ish chassis. ...and it looks like nothing else on the road.

4th gen F-body cars, particularly the 35th anniversary edition Camaro SS and Trans-Am WS6. They have a decent amount of tech in them, are rear-wheel drive, come with an LS1 and a 6-speed manual.

I you shouldn’t do this the most

I know this isn’t the most exciting car, but I would still like to see it...as delicious as that meat spit looks, where’s the car in all of these? I feel like I’m looking at my mom’s vacation photos.

The type of car that everyone is clamoring for in the US, but if it actually came here would be a sales dud.

I’ll take a used OG Audi A7 over these guys....

US Pedestrian safety guidelines:

This is America, we don’t have standards for pedestrian safety.

Musk will eventually get his $56b when he moves the company incorporation to Texas. But Tesla should pay the lawyers anyway. They deserve it for approving such a ridiculous pay package to begin with.

As someone that litigates in the Court of Chancery, it is indeed entirely customary for plaintiffs’ lawyers to be paid a % of recovery--typically 30-33% tops for a post-trial win, with a progressively lower percentage the sooner the case is resolved procedurally. The absolute amount is obviously massive, but asking

BR2049 had Jared Leto in it and the movie didn’t suck and Jared Leto didn’t suck (for that one brief moment). I don’t know how Denis can do the impossible and walk away with doubts.

Good to see Jalopnik revisiting the classic article format. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a “buy this old ass luxury car for the price of a reliable new staple automobile” article.
