Not hard to justify at all given I have driven both. The Tundra drives like an old pickup truck. The Ridgeline drives like a car.

People say the Mirage but no one mentioned the ASX/Outlander Sport?

I’ve had my F150 Extended Cab, that I purchased new, for going on 9 years now, and have grown to loathe the gross size of the thing. At 6.5 feet, the bed is just about the right length - I have hauled numerous appliances, full sized lumber, two dirt bikes with the tailgate up, and a literal ton of water in the bed

Mercedes W211 E-Class.  Discontinued for 2024, but new ones still available from 2023.

Been for sale since 1992. Yes, it’s only been available as a cutaway since MY 2015, but this design is over 3 decades old. Took a model year off in 2020 when they switched from the old V10 to the Godzilla.

Subaru Legacy; Subaru’s entry in the “Yep, it’s a car” category.

Need?

Yes. In my original comment I said “In Canada...”

Long live Godzilla!

The Dodge Ram, uh, Ram 1500 Classic:

Kill it already

Nope. A base Tundra SR is $40k. That nets you the weakest engine, 2WD, extended cab, and steel wheels etc. A Ridgeline Sport is $40k and comes standard with AWD, alloys, and all the expected options. To get a comparable crew cab, 4WD, and the roughly the same option content as the Ridgline Sport you have to get a

Tundras are great but the reason that I have the Ridgeline is that it is a lot smaller than the Tundra. The difference is anywhere from 23" to 40"+ and that is huge.... Tundras are too big and too high up for my use. Ridge is super comfortable to ride in and the rear seats fold up which is great for carrying my pup

Yup. My buddy and I were discussing what vehicle he should buy. I was pitching the Ridgeline, but he was stuck on the F150. He insisted he needed the extra towing of the F150 to pull the camper... that he doesn't even own yet. And, will NEVER buy. At that point, I'm just like, yeah, get the F150.

This is such a bs statement. If you can’t get work done with a 5’ bed, you don’t know how to haul. Had one for 5 years now and I’ve handled more cargo than you could imagine. The extra length just gets absorbed by a tool box.

Hyundai has a plug in that size for a lot cheaper.

I love when truck bros talk about how the Honda Ridgeline isn’t a real truck when it’s exactly the amount of truck just about 90% of truck owners actually “need.” And in reality the bed is only 3 inches shorter than the 5'7" bed of most crewcab 1500s or the 5'6 bed of crewcab F-150s.

If it were a Chrysler no one would look at it.

Jeez, if I needed to jump off the waitlist for a RAV4 Prime, I sure as hell wouldn’t jump into a Dodge!
