Perhaps the most ridiculous part isn’t the prices, but that after all this money and all this time, they still haven’t lived up to their original promises. Something that was supposed to happen in 2015.

Can we please stop perpetuating the myth that AWD (as used in economy crossovers) provides any actual function or benefit beyond adding drag, weight, and complication?

I am very pro EV and cannot wait to get a cheap 3rd car EV for in town errands and keep my ICE for long trips. I was gassing up and counting the seconds/gallon at the pump and realizing that I was getting 2 miles/sec of range at the gas pump. EVs have some catching up to do. 

I don’t trust anything Google does to be in users’ best interests at this point, so I figure whatever they’re replacing cookies with is going to be something that can’t be ignored or deleted or blocked without severely crippling functionality.

For me, it’s a tossup between these two:

It all depends.  Go to someone trust worthy and get a review.  A lot of “on it’s last legs” are more just “looks like hell and is out out date” and the cost to keep it safe is low.   A set of tires, an alignment, a set of struts and brakes and the car feels and drives like it was brand new.

You remember today’s NP or ND? The 4K Chevy Lumina? Yeah, there it is. Fun and, if not reliable then at least super easy to fix. For only 4K and bank the other eleven grand as part of the down payment for the next car in a few years time, or part of an emergency fund.

this is why I am skeptical when my state chose to drop tailpipe emissions testing and revert back to trusting the diagnostic systems after already switching back to tailpipe emissions testing when dieselgate broke. you just can't trust the onboard sensors blindly when it seems any company is willing to put defeat…
