This is great Asuming you have passengers. But there should be a provision for cargo. Having to buckle a seatbelt just because i have a box in the front seat is beyond annoying! I carry tons of crap every day this sounds awful to deal with. There should be a provision for cargo mode .. but that would also be annoying

BRADLEY IS ON THE MONEY WITH THIS ONE GET THE DAMN PRIUS!

had a stupid argument with a buddy who is convinced his explorer is rear wheel drive. it’s not.  there was nothing i could do or say that would convince him.

i’m sure temp and humidity play a factor. There is a lot of risk and cost  driving a street car 10/10ths on a track i’m sure they did not do more than a few takes and that was it. given enough runs i’m sure the acr could break the 7 min barrier. the 2017 acr time of 7:01 was done by an independent club and not a

i can understand pulling the data from the crashed vehicles. but “fatalities per billion miles” implies that the data is an aggregate of all of the vehicles on the road.

well then you are only gathering data from the wrecked vehicles. Wouldn’t that taint your sample size? what about all the vehicles that don’t have fatalities? how does these calculations even work???

i’ve worked for national tire chains and never heard of them working with the government to send them customer data like that before.

I am going to argue none.

I think you might be on to something with the low miles because of the buicks. They are not any less safe than their chevy counterparts which are not on the list anywhere.  Also this is a WEIRD metric because how is the NHTSA getting their data? it’s not like i’m volunteering the mileage on my vehicle to the

altimas are surprisingly safe for how low budget they are!

i’m guessing a hybrid truck platform for silverado/escalade/suburban type vehicles was in the works because cafe but if the regulations were eased that might get scraped.   the normal passenger vehicles will probably still get hybrids.. or if they don’t that would be incredibly stupid and short sighted of them!

the issues with EVs is they are designed around complete module replacement. The battery is replaced as one big lump, the drive unit is replaced as one big lump. Only the advanced mechanical engineers can go the extra step of disasembling the bad battery, finding the individual components that are bad and also have

wait .. isn’t the whole point of commercial flight based on redundant systems?

yeah seems like anything type of salt / chloride solution is bad for metal.

so doing 15 minutes of google fu research there seems to be no actual research indicating that pickle brine (AKA Calcium Chloride) has lest rusting effect than Sodium Chloride.

That’s not what happens the salt melts the ice and the salt/water solution is what gets all over the underside of your vehicle. So pickle brine would do the exact same thing!

or you just get a Lucid air and get more power and efficiency!

GM in the 50s was peak platform sharing. that was when GM’s strategy of “a car for every purse and purpose” from Alfred Sloan   really began to gain momentum and it brought GM to the automotive superpower they still are today!

all companies of this size are run by horrible people.

I don’t see how the pickle brine would prevent your car from rusting compared to regular salt.  Pickle brine is just a salt solution. what am i missing here?
