bronco sport hybrid would actually be dope. But ford would need more output than the 140hp escape/maverick version and a mechanical rear diff versus an electronic one.

Sure 300 mile range is ideal. But 85kw battery is the ceiling for any vehicle that would be considered “affordable” After that the price tag gets quite extravagant. and the battery quite LARGE!!
I agree with you. But with the current cost/battery tech a giant EV with a 92 kwh battery 62k is where the market is at.
it’s just going to reserve 2-4 kwh to run as a normal hybrid until you plug in again.
this is actually very rad!
“Jesus Chrystler” was fucking amazing!
this is amazing!
sure... but a lot of people are already saying 62k is to much money. who is going to want to spend an extra 15 ish thousand to get more range.... the weight is very similar to the ford lightning with very similar batter size and gets very similar range ... and the ford lightning price is also about the same but the id…

China/Geely buys Jeep and Nissan/Mercedes buys ram.
oh yeah in april was when jeep was offering 25 percent discounts on WRANGLERS and Gladiators. When was the last time you heard of wranglers going on sale?? If you saw this and thought good news was coming in the future you were an idiot!
People got too used to the covid economy where consumers would buy whatever they could get their hands on. Automakers forgot the consumers have the power. If they don’t want to pay these high prices they will buy something else.
yeah ford won over a lot of people with the ecoboost v6 but they were not crazy enough to stop selling a v8 even today almost 15 years later!!
basically this. when you have almost no inventory under 50 grand what do you think would happen???
exactly. and then people freaking out that it doesn’t have over 300 miles of range. dude .. it’s a brick and already has a 91kwh battery. do you think anyone would seriously pay an extra $25k to add 50kwh more capacity?
the id buzz battery is already very large but 350 miles range is extremely optimistic especially for the aerodynamics of a brick.
its a 100k truck. 2,000 on tires is nothing to worry about.
ah hell no!
I wanted to get excited for the 300 horsepower v6 camry but the 2.0t accord is just soo much quicker. But the v6 camry will still be running at 350k miles so i guess it’s a wash?
I think complaint one is easily fixed by the hybrid drivetrain. when you are stopped the engine is off anyway and it burns very little fuel when the engine cycles on to top off the juice that the AC/radio is burning. Just have to change your habits a bit to only turning the engine off right before you open the door…
