this is not the first year of this engine it debuted in 2018 with the lexus ls.  I think that 4 years is plenty of time to work all the bugs out.

that is a lot of red.  I don’t hate it but a black headliner would tie it all together.

so only the cars that nobody wants ... that checks out. (subaru excluded?)

The guy messaged me where he got the lift kit from. It’s strut spacers. glorified metal hockey pucks.  parts are $750 you can diy or pay a shop 300-400 to install it for you.   It is nowhere near a “custom suspension built for the siena”

Your spending a lot of time worrying about wiring/electricals when the most vulnerable component to fail is the battery.

If Chevy can make an EV anyone can bro.

this is a good point. Think about how many brands went bust in the past 50-70 years and how few are left. There are a few new brands that have come to the US in the past 10 years but the old timers are either a ford or a chevy person , or they went import and never looked back. Or they went Mopar or Nocar at a really

no. there is just more ridges for snow to stick to but the bulk of the snow should clean off as the wheel rotates. there might be a small layer that sticks to the inside groove but really it’s the soft  furry compound of the tire mixed with how many grooves to bite at the snow/ice.

This doesn’t make much sense you would be driving on compacted snow so your ground clearance would be the same driving on 4 inches of snow or 8 inches of snow. your tires are touching the top of the snow not the road underneath.

with this many miles 7k is probably the ceiling. for 10 grand I am finding tons of very low mileage 2008 or newer all wheel drive sienna and highlanders. Sorry but whatever they did to lift this van 3.5 inches (most likely hockey pucks in the springs) ads no value to the vehicle. Also the whole “toyotas run forever”

I always had a soft spot for the 318 hatchback. It was like the german spin on the nissan 240sx. I would love to own one oneday.

Alabama just shuts everything down. but if you work for a private business you can still get written up for not showing up to work.  The story goes that alabama bought all of the equipment and hired personell to deal with a snow storm in the early 2000s but they never got used so by the time a snow storm finally came

tesla has been making the model s for over 10 years now. If they wanted to sell induvial battery components they would by now. I don’t understand why you are making excuses for them. Tesla refuses to sell battery components. Also if you are a consumer and the parts are not available it makes little difference as the

in the video they talked about two repairs. the first one was a connector for the cooling system that failed that was non serviceable by tesla and tesla said the battery needed to be replaced. Electrified garage was able to retrofit some sort of connector for the cooling system for $700. The second repair TWO of the

Here is a good video explaining how EV batteries are practically not serviceable. this is from the owner of a shop who works on ev vehicles. This vehicle owner lives in Kansas and the closes independent repair shop is in FLORIDA.

tesla and most other ev brands does not sell their battery modules individually. Some 3rd party shops have been successful at repairing battery modules but the number of shops that do that  is extremely few and likely not even anywhere local to where you live. Troubleshooting and “repairing” your battery is cheaper

with 90 grand to spend on a luxury vehicle It is hard to beat the F150 limited. all the leather all the luxury and tech. Assisted driving and parking, and so much room for activities on the inside. It’s also a hybrid and can function as a 7.5kw generator if a winter storm takes out your power.

there won’t be EVs with antique plates on them because their batteries will be shot and it wont be cost effective to replace a $25,000 battery on a 2011 model S.

I don’t really care about automakers honest fuck big corporations. I just don’t see the practicality of a rule like this. it takes at least 4 years to get a new factory online and almost as long to switch a line from one type of car to another. There is a Parts shortage globally for all vehicles not just EVs. How are

Honda is famous for the AWD in the CRV being absolutely shit i don’t think it’s fair to be worried about a heavy duty truck transfer case becasue the honda CRV awd system overheated. The CRV awd system only lets it send 30 percnet torque to the rear and that is only AFTER it detects wheel slip. So what happens is not
