I think its because old timey cars the rear “door” opened horizontally like a door not a vertical tail-gate like cars of today.

you have over triple the torque so i think it’s a wash honestly.
you got 35 to 40 large to spend and want an enthusiast car of this caliber what do you get instead? not saying this is the only car but the number of options are small...
i really want this movie franchise to die.
wish they could get bodys like this to past crash tests this is pure class. modern cars are much too bulbus and swoopy and bubly like a jelly bean with wheels.
it had a decoupler for the rear axle. You will get 30mpg i fyou leave it in fwd but in the 20s in awd
This is a great car i still want one they are just so rare down south.
My 3.0 h6 04 outback blew head gaskets was cheaper to just replace the engine it was $1400 for the parts alone
The single cab 1991-1993 S10 is my choice!
that is nearly the worst case scenario with these cars and you can get replacement battery packs for $1500-2500 and DIY easy enough. other cars you have to worry about the engine going boom, or the transmission going boom or it’s just death by 1,000 cuts from quartly trips to the shop.
basically my line of thinking. couldnt find a clean used manual car in my area so I bought a prius. If i’m not going to have what i “want” might as well have something practical and fuel economy.
The audio upgrade is better just not $3,000+ Of dollars better. Its not even an “this doesnt meet audiophile standards” thing these manufacturers charge way too much money for what you get. You can get an aftermarket speaker system for a fraction of the cost that will better.
Google will let you download the maps you want on your device. You can probably fit the whole usa map on your phone it is not that much memory and your gps will work when your cell signal is down
“Premium” audio systems. they cost thousands and sound nowhere near as good as an aftermarket system you can diy or pay a shop to install.
I like the idea of awd and mild hybrid system 40mpg is fantastic in a car with 0-60 in about 6 seconds
I want a “street truck” version of this single cab or extended cab short bed with 6 or 8 piston carbon brakes and self leveling active air suspension so it could be raised up to do truck stuff like hauling and towing and slammed at the track for hauling ass.
who is buying GM trucks right now? they are the worst of the bunch at the moment!
I like the way this is laid out. the “tablet stuck out the top” look is actually very practical. it lets the dash be as low as possible you can actually seee the end of the hood this way. if they had to “integrate” the touchscreen in to the dash either it would be too low so that you would have to take your eyes off…
this would be cool to keep small appliencees going in the quiet hours when i was a kid i would have killed for something like this to power a small tv and a nintendo/PlayStation at night camping.
30 minutes maybe lol
