They also didn’t know each other nor were they sitting together. So there’s no way that someone else on the plane was freaking out about 8 different people’s BO from 8 different parts of the plane. They WERE, however, all Black.

It would certainly be easy to “convince” her to go along with his side of the story. He would have just murdered someone in cold blood, and she’d know she could catch some bullets herself. 

He’s an asshole, and most likely thought whoever dropped her off was some dude she’s been seeing. I mean, the possibilities are endless, but most of them begin with, “He’s an asshole.” 

And ironically enough, his failure to actually execute the guy means the guy can testify against him. So by not killing him, he’ll go to prison, which will encourage other people to make sure they kill the person they’re pulling the gun on. 

He probably blew up her phone all night, so she knew she was in trouble, so said ‘fuck it’ and finished her night anyways. This guy doesn’t sound like a very reasonable father in general.

Also, I imagine many parents have children or family members who drive for Uber or other companies and are worried about this *exact* kind of person coming for their child.

The reason he’s going to go to jail is because he *didn’t* kill the driver, and now he has a witness to testify against him.
