It was pretty wild earlier watching clips of Ron DeSantis going “I don’t want to see kids getting INDOCTRINATED” and then clips of the guy who started PragerU going “Hell yeah I indoctrinate kids, you have to indoctrinate them before the liberals get there”

He might be in free-fall, but he knows what to do to excite the base when they’re not feeling him: Attack a Black woman!

I don’t have a problem with them. They’re celebrities. Markle seems nice and does a lot of charity work. Her husband sounds like he’s got some issues to work out, but doesn’t seem ‘mean.’ Not really anything there past that. I don’t think they deserve nearly as much shit as they get.

There is a very fantastic video (I think by Vaush?) basically watching an episode of her show where she brought on some various blonde former news people or something to complain about Kim Petras being on the Sports Illustrated cover or something similar, and you could just sense how mad they all were that Petras was

Musk himself said that even though he considers himself a “free speech absolutist,” he wanted Twitter to abide by whatever laws exist in the country it’s operating in, so this would be, surprise surprise, yet another example of him being a hypocrite.

Political bias 100%. They got the request, Musk said no, and whoever’s left on their legal team played out whatever cards they had. This was 100% to protect Trump

Yup. I was 100% down with everyone until the moment he hit the woman on the ground with the chair. She was out of the fight, he crossed the line there. Probably won’t be *too* bad a legal punishment, but he’s gotta face some music for that.

Thomas has already asked for cases involving contraception, and cases involving gay marriage. He wants the current court to throw both out.

Conceptually, this seems confusing to me. Clearly, a “religious employer” could be like Hobby Lobby or whatever, that is run by Christians, but they cannot force their employees to also be Christians. But they can force them to live by their religious standards? Then how is that not forcing employees to be a certain

Yeah the rebrand was the WORST. They may not have been huge, but they were coasting along, staffed by some dedicated brewers. My buddy was doing some writing for local beer mags and would bring me along as photographer on some his trips, and the Anchor brewery was awesome and really well-run, all the way until Sapporo

Yeah, Sapporo basically ran them into the ground. One of the things Anchor was really known for was their detailed labels that were hand-drawn by some 80 year old dude in Marin who’d been doing it for decades. And Sapporo tossed out all their design in favor of single-color cans with a gold anchor on it.

I could definitely go for a new MacBook, and these seem pretty good. I’ve still got an Intel one, last year they made it since the M processors didn’t come with 4 USB ports at the time.

I don’t get why this is even a question. If I am talking to somebody, I don’t need to know where their ancestors are from. I don’t need to know when their family first arrived in the US. If I ask where you’re “from,” it generally means where you, in particular, are from.

There are so many deeply racist folks involved in NASCAR and I thank them every day for being so easy to identify

I just want to grab him and go “WHY DO YOU CARE?” Like literally, why is this something you feel the need to comment on? Just make your money and go be on a bunch of other features that I’ll never listen to.

The Democratic Party is always garbage when someone starts abusing the system to get what they want, because they just don’t have the creativity to imagine ways to abuse the system back without breaking it.

He’s doing the same thing with the military that McConnell did with SCOTUS. Block the confirmation of anyone new, in the hope that the next President is a Republican and then they will start allowing confirmations again.

Father Cordileone of the Holy DUI generally seems to lack a lot of time to handle running the SF Church when he dedicates so much of his day to screaming about Nancy Pelosi and getting blackout drunk.

I will be honest, I’m in California, and we only require 50%+1 of the vote to add constitutional amendments, and it is not a good system. That’s how Prop 13 got passed, freezing property tax rates, it’s got Prop 8 got passed banning gay marriage, reactionaries in California have long abused the 50%+1 requirement to

I’ve literally never heard of teams singing the anthem before, or anyone ever caring. I feel like conservatives got so mad about the anthem kneeling, they decided to add singing as an additional punishment
