This is, of course, assuming it gets ruled on before the end of this Senate session, which definitely wouldn’t happen either.

Ah yes “we can’t just let a group be defined by its own scholars,” as is the case with literally every other group. No, for Black folks, it needs to be different.

Nancy Mace is definitely genuinely supportive of some form of abortion for incest and rape only. She has said she’s been a victim of rape

I always assumed they were repaid with the satisfaction of having corrected a historic wrong

That I granted a significant downward departure does not in any way diminish Daunte Wright’s life.

To me, the judiciary derives its power from the consent of the governed. AKA, we abide by their decisions because we’ve agreed to respect them. When the judiciary gets out of its wheelhouse, it is up to the *people* to check the judiciary.

“Liberal rich white people” are big fans of putting up “Black Lives Matter” and “All are welcome here” signs in neighborhoods where they work tirelessly to make sure Black people don’t actually go.

Excited for a Cult of the Lamb update, I played that when it first came out, and it’s one of the few games I’ve beaten in the last few years. Would be cool if they fix some of the issues like the reduced number of cult members entering the altar and such, or maybe help speed the game up a little overall.

Of course that racist old fart is already out of jail. Can’t have him feeling uncomfortable or inconvenienced for a couple of minutes.

Yeah, these are just the stories that are making it to the public. There was a girl in NY that just got shot and killed in a car turning around in a driveway a couple of days and apparently last night a couple of cheerleaders in Texas were shot because they hopped in the wrong car for a second, got back out and went

People say this stuff, but this guy was never scared. Not for a moment. He opened his door and saw an opportunity to shoot a Black person and he took it.

Was gonna post this. It’s Texas, though, and at least one of them looks like they’re Black, so probably won’t move the needle.

You only get one second chance. Can’t make the man take it.

He can do whatever the fuck he wants, he’s getting his ass handed to him when he runs for re-election, the people he represents are PISSED that he won’t step down, and no amount of anything he can think of will do anything to change the fact that he refuses to represent the one actual action they want him to take.

The only surprise here is that he isn’t claiming it already

He wasn’t “scared to death,” he saw an opportunity to shoot a Black person and took it. And if Yarl hadn’t survived, the story would be about how it was such a tragedy but oh well let’s move on. But Yarl survived, his side of the story gets to get told, and this absolutely racist bigoted fuckwad just MIGHT see some

Pretty much. I mean, talking about wanting to lynch Black people is bad, but not illegal. There might be some way to tie civil rights violations to the Sheriff if he’s got a history of complaints made against him by Black folks he’s arrested, but that’s reaching, and the OK government wouldn’t be interested in

They are definitely not getting swept. They will win both games at home, their road/home splits this year are insane. I was hoping by game 2 they would decide to stop kidding around and take the game seriously, but they still can’t.

His entire schtick is using the government to pick battles against marginalized communities in order to make himself look tough so he can run for President.
