For real. No teacher is out there telling students to feel guilty. These politicians keep trying to wrap their agenda in concern for students who aren’t having the feelings the politicians are claiming they’re having.

Yeah this war is really breaking a lot of people’s brains. Like, some serious white-on-white crime, and people are thinking “but this doesn’t happen to us!”

The Democratic Party needs a takeover by the base like the GOP is going through. The establishment Democrats don’t WANT the votes of their base, what they really want are the votes of the conservatives who keep railing against them. 

The Democratic Party does not WANT the votes of women of color. They WANT conservative white folks. But the GOP already has them sealed up.

I don’t know, I wouldn’t really see those as winners right now. Conservatives already won the gun wars, they’re successfully dismantling any current and future conversations about racism (look at their anti-CRT, anti “woke” laws), and taxes, well, folks can be mad about taxes but there just isn’t much going on there.

So what’s the substance?

The anti-covid vaccine movement has several adherents who are pushing against ANY vaccine, which is percolating in your usual red states, Florida, Texas, etc.

While I’m sure they’ll figure something out, it is pretty clear that they need new outrages to keep them on track. The mask and vaccine mandates are ending (even here, in San Francisco, with no protests! Imagine that), pretty much all the red states have passed their voting restrictions and abortion restrictions and…

Graham is just pissed Biden didn’t pick HIS Black woman. What an ass. He told Biden who to pick, and Biden didn’t listen, so Graham’s withholding his vote. 

It may not be the Democrats’ fault but the optics are on the Democratic Party for fucking this up.

Republicans are absolutely pulling bullshit at every level. It is up to Democrats to navigate that regardless. It is unfair. It is bullshit. None of that matters. They needed to show their constituents that they can run an election and they failed.
