Of course he want’s to run again. He saw that Mayor Pete’s orientation wasn’t all that big a deal, so he opened the closet door. Now the GOP gets their token gay, and they can say “See! We have a gay friend, so we can’t be homophobes.”

Excellent point. But I think your last one is most important. This is a very bad look for Elle. People in the publishing world might understand the million reasons why someone is let go. But all the average reader is going to know is that a writer who accused the President of rape lost her job. Very bad optics for the…
Yeah, she was surprisingly funny in Good News. She was also pretty good in Grace and Frankie.
Yeah, I enjoyed it too. Just a fun show to watch.
I’m just going to throw this out there. On Netflix they are airing the US version of the UK show The Circle. It’s a reality show that is a cross between Big Brother and Catfish. None of the players meet each other in person, but “online” where they can be whomever they want to be. I am halfway though the UK version…
Well, another accuser died yesterday by suicide. Ex husband of the Princess of Norway said Spacey groped him at some Nobel thing a few years ago. Now he is dead. So that makes THREE of Spacey’s accusers dead. Hmmm.
That’s really nice. I hope she stays that way, which is really hard to do when surrounded by people telling you what you want to hear.
I was as surprised as you were at the exclusion of this great show.
Maybe it’s a Scottish/British thing, but my family has chip sandwiches for years. I haven’t made one in long time, but it was a quick and easy snack when we were kids.
If I remember correctly, the TV movie the series was based upon seemed pretty scary for me. Even the 90s reboot with Malcolm McDowell had dark undertones, So this trailer seems pretty on brand.
There is another connection that was missed in the article, A small one, but still. When Annie is going through her psychotic episode, she tells Joy about her father (or perhaps Ace Merrill), and she says “sometimes they come back”. That’s the title of a King short story.
I have to say I am really enjoying this show, so great news about the renewal.
I was watching Historical Roasts on Netflix a month or so ago. In the Cleopatra segment I was wondering who the guy was playing Julius Caesar because he looked like Ryan Phillippe. When the credits rolled, sure enough it was him. If this is the biggest gig he can get now, Hollywood must really think he is an asshole.
Why would bible thumpers not like this show? I would think it would be right up their alley.
I hear you. I don’t want to know anything that is coming up, so have been avoiding these promo vids like the plague. I want that same feeling of surprise and astonishment from Danson’s devilish smile in season 1.
No kidding. Talk about burying the lede. All the headlines are about James Vanderbeek or Sean Spicer, and poor Mary is stuck at the bottom yet again.
I just watched the first episode, and quite liked it.
I just don’t see any political motives in the trailer. It’s just rich assholes hunting supposedly poor people for fun. So why are conservatives projecting victimhood on themselves, when there is none to be seen? Unless there is more to it that is in the actual movie...... what a dumb hill to die on.
This actually sounds like it could be interesting. So is this a one off miniseries type thing, or if it gets good ratings will it get the Big Little Lies treatment?
I like that! Great idea.
