Well, the only remaining purpose of a performance sedan is angry-passing, so as long as its power-to-weight ratio allows even angrier angry-passing on the Autobahn, the requirement has been met. No-one who expects this pig to perform on a racetrack should be allowed near a racetrack, as they already have a track

I’m actually amazed that she hasn’t written this off as Deep State persecution which only shows how right and dangerous she is, and which she’ll fight all the way to the Supreme Court on the basis of ‘reasons’.

AFAIK, the Constitution doesn’t mention political parties at all. The founders would’ve been aware of the concept from European politics, but they didn’t see it as something which should be be built into the legal framework.

It means nothing, in this case, of course - it’s just like ‘Communist’ was under McCarthy, a tool for discrediting your enemies with no real substance or chance of being disproved. It sounds much more like someone has been put in place to remind blue-collar workers that they don’t *get* to have a political voice of

*Don’t* mention cannonballs to the Mythbusters team :-(

Not even with a 108-month loan?

Are these dealers trying get loans based on the *declared* value of their stock, or something? I.e. trying to game some background system by wildly over valuing a couple of cars and hoping no-one looks at that page of the spreadsheet?

How can you know whether a Camaro has been repaired properly if you don’t drive it like an aggressive a-hole on public roads?

In the short story, it was a pet octopus, which makes at least marginal sense.

TIL: The closest the Beast has come to proving itself (as far as the public are concerned) was that a deranged person attempted to ram it with a forklift during the Trump era (but didn't get very close.)

“Hello, Mr. Richman? John here. About the brake upgrade to your car... I’m afraid there’ll be a bit of a delay getting it back to you. No, nothing major...”

Exactly my thought - what is their responsibility if customer car is brought in for service and gets stolen from the premises.

There’s going to be a lot more of this zero-tolerance nonsense going forward - DMV staff are probably so afraid of accidentally providing service to an undocumented person that it’s easier to say ‘computer says no’ and hope that the lawsuit isn’t resolved until after you retire.

Incredible. Mark it in your diaries folks - July 2nd 2024 was the first day in modern American history where there was only one single-vehicle accident in the entire USA to report on.

Even the landscapers I see around here are towing a trailer with their equipment in it, presumably because there’s too much of it and it’s too heavy to lift way up into a truck bed anyway.

So, open season to use an AI *complainant* to force a takedown of legitimate content you disagree with?

Maybe a big, hot brass steam regulator valve and a handbrake lever outside the driver’s door.

There’s *no* association between ‘snowflake’ wheel designs and owners who are obsessed with 19th century transmissions and 110-year old engine layouts. None. Put that out of your mind.

I don’t like to brag, but *all* of my cars have unique one-of-one VINs from the factory. Adds a lot of value on the collector market.

I guess he might hope to be confused with MyPillow guy and accidentally pardoned under a second Trump regime.
