So this was all about Sophie’s choice?

“So even though it didn’t take several movies to introduce them, so they were actually hyped across multiple movies”
Galactus’ first appearance in the comics required no build-up. The first Apocalypse arc in the comics took only 3 or 4 issues.
You don’t need 3 movies to build up to Apocalypse. You need one competent director.
I still maintain X-Men: Apocalypse would’ve been at least 50 percent better if, instead of having Jean Grey release Wolverine because you can’t have a X-Men movie without Wolverine, they had just let Jean, Cyclops, and Nightcrawler fight through all those guards. Also maybe more than 10 minutes of character…
Likely it’s about her investigating the company that owned that goo that gave her super powers. IIRC it was labeled “IGH” which could possibly mean “Inhuman Growth Hormone” which would basically just be Mutant Growth Hormone which is a drug made from the DNA of mutants and mutates that temporarily gives normal humans…
You’re all talk, Hamill! You never even finished Jedi school!
I’m all for keeping the mutants separate, but I think the Fantastic Four could be a great addition to the MCU. Also, there’s an awful lot of the better known aliens and cosmic characters who are tied up in the Fox rights.
Dormammu, sure, but Ego? Totally different motivation, personality, & powers.
If only there were a way to arrange the front page into multiple sections, so that everyone could interact with the content they were interested in without having to navigate several menues!
This site sold it’s soul. Part of the joy of this site was always the excellent commentary offered, beside the quality articles. The Av Club is merely a shdow of it’s former self.
The AV Club has gotten too political, yes. I think it’s always been left-leaning (and I don’t have a problem with that per se), but lately we do get a lot of liberal doom and gloom from the site. I get plenty of that from Twitter, really! Give me something that doesn’t make me want to throw myself in front of a…
I’d like to see Catwoman and Batman team up to take on Storm and Daredevil.
Sure, the comic book company that had one of the first black superheros and had the X-Men stand in for oppressed minorities such as the LGBTQI community back in the 60's only started going “SJW” after being bought by Disney.
It is pretty terrible though, there’s just such a lack of straight white heroes to watch and…
Supergirl and LoT and Star Wars are all good though so, I guess, keep bringing on the SJW stuff?
So who do I talk to about a Cap/Human Torch buddy comedy
Put Fantastic Four in the MCU, keep the X-movies in their own separate universe. There are already plenty of characters and stories available within the MCU (especially with FF) and more than enough X-characters and stories to keep them going separately.
*Katie Rife writes a “For Your Consideration” article about how much thebaz hates women*
The Fantastic Four would fit in perfectly but I don’t see how suddenly adding mutants would make sense in the MCU. The X-Men always work better in their separate corner of Marvel.
Yeah, who wants to see a beloved entity be taken over by some corporate overlords? Why that’d be like this here AV Club being purchased by some large conglomerate and shifting its editorial viewpoint to accommodate their new corporate masters.
