If you are visiting SF and like Mexican food at all and don’t go to a local taqueria then what are you even doing here? No point in arguing the best when there are SO MANY good ones. Cancun, El Castillito, La Taqueria, El Farolito, La Corneta, are good starts but literally duck into ANY local taqueria they will treat

Yeah, if he is in denial, which looks likely, it could also be rooted in personal antipathy toward his father—if my understanding of his family from the description above is accurate. Like a personal grudge that he holds onto enough to tie up his whole identity with it. (I knew zero about this before now, other than

I’m with you right up until ‘simpler.’ When you look at the risk/reward of sliding...it’s got to be one of the most common forms of injury. Going from a sprint to horizontal safely is anything but simple. A lot more time should be spent on technique, in spring training and throughout the year.

I’m with you. Though, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that the dirt was possibly a little wetter than expected. It’s hard to process a traumatic moment like that and average person will still blame anything that’s a little different. But to me his form looks absolutely shitty.

I didn’t check the roster to see how big they were, but in video they looked pretty bad.

I more or less agree. He is faced with challenging situations, sure, but he also airs dirty laundry and seems to have a bit of a toxic attitude about everything.

I think the idea of adding a top 2 player to a champion level team. Can’t think of too many times that has happened. I let them off the hook and consider the winning legit anyway though—they were already champion level! Any they were able to add Durant, who wanted to play there to boot. Clearly people only complain

I don’t think LeBron is a diva regarding how he relates to Gilbert. I let Jordan off the hook for the baseball because part of that was that he was reportedly grieving his father’s death.

I still don’t get why anybody considers Carmelo a piece of a superteam. Unless he’s coming off the bench. But even then he doesn’t have the distribution of a Ginobili or the defense of say, an Iguodala.

They probably meant feet. Put it this way, if you were in Bumfuck, China and weren’t sure about whether to use the ‘ or “ how the fuck would you find out?

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! This needs a trigger warning. That shows what incredible courage Vogt has to ever set foot on a baseball diamond again, much less don the catcher’s gear. Also in the slo mo replay, you can see EXACTLY how long it takes the nerve signal to travel from the balls to brain and back down

So I’m not clear on the rule still...I get that catcher can go where he wants once he has the ball, but if he is in front of the plate, can the baserunner clobber him?

I always wondered who that quote was since I heard it on the PE Fear of a Black Planet album! Thanks!! (I’m sure I coulda googled it and probably would have if you didn’t add the source.)

As far as Tirico, this appears strange for sure, but if you are told a certain thing growing up (whatever it was) he might not want

Yeah, the A’s need a privately-financed, modest-sized, modest-priced stadium that hopefully can parallel the growth Oakland has been experiencing the past few years. Best case scenario, since they still have reasonable decent fan followings from other areas, is kind of Green Bay style franchise that outperforms its

I think it happened twice and it wasn’t all over the place it was in the locker rooms at the bottom of the stadium so it didn’t affect the fans. So your comment is a bit of an exaggeration.

Oh come on. Disgusting? I’m wondering if you’ve been there. I went on Saturday and it’s an ugly building and nobody would call it a world class experience but disgusting is not a word to describe the fan experience. The locker room flooding was awful but that affected the players and it didn’t affect the fans at all.

Nah, it’s the second likeliest thing. Likeliest was that Holliday realized he couldn’t obstruct at second so he decided to go obstruct at first.

There is zero reason to give Holliday the benefit of the doubt here. He’s a slow dope who was doing anything he could to save his team an out and the umps bought his little gambit.

melo sucks on houston unless he’s coming off the bench
