Played in a school district growing up where the system once you reached extra time was golden goal with the number of players reduced by 2 every 10 minutes. It started with 10 mins 9v9, then 10 mins 7v7, etc. We only had 2 games go to extra time, but it neither reached 5v5, and usually some quality chances during the…
Great Post - could go for weeks running through the original plus comments.
I never quite understood why bicyclists risk their lives by riding on the roadways of busy streets...
Andy Reid’s legs = huge pork loins stood on end ... in loafers.
Met an olympian skeleton once and said something similar about how crazy it was to go head-first. Her response was that skeleton athletes think luge is more dangerous because in luge they can’t even see where they’re going. Apparently most of the luge steering is done by memory. Really made me wonder which is actually…

The Sens are barely the most popular team in Ottawa. Look at the crowd for any Leafs game.

It was so brief it’s tough to tell if it was genuine hesitation or if he meant it to dupe Stewart. It may make the play even more amazing either way - if it was intentional the speed he did it was…
If someone did break the majors record, but only in one major (a stunning test of longevity in itself), I’d agree it’s legit but if done at the Masters it comes with a footnote because it’s always held on the same course. The other majors have at least a rotation of courses. Old Jim Nance could wax on all he wanted…
Couldn’t agree more with one rule: Ban the menus on flatscreens that occasionally change to a promo that makes the menu disappear every minute or so. If I walk into a place I don’t frequent for my late lunch and immediately get to the counter, sometimes there’s no damn menu to order from.
Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the QMJHL:
Alcohol consumption: definitely not Christian. Except for the oldest and most exclusive beers.
Here is the list in Canada:
Many thanks for both of you for highlighting this effect. I experienced it and never knew until reading these last articles. Got my legs taken out from under me and woke up on the gym floor during lunch hour ball in high school almost 20 years ago. Got myself to my first afternoon class a half hour later, couldn’t…
