I’m right there with you. I was a HUGE Eels fans. I saw him live multiple times, including the “With Strings” tour, which was great. Blinking Lights was his last really great record. I’ll give this one a shot because John Parish is back, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

If we expand it to oldie movie stars in general, I think RDJ would be perfect for Charlie Chaplin.

So when I read the title

He’s about 6 years older than Matthew Broderick who was himself 23 when they filmed. Mia Sara was 18.

Gene is pro-Gene-making-money which is hard to do if Gene’s dead

I now live in a world where Gene fucking Simmons is more rational than the majority of my former High School classmates and friends, to say nothing of many members of my family...

did they also throw out DaBathwater?

Once they trot out the show, I bet it has a good run.

Nugent already has no taste so what else is new.

Sometimes the critic’s shorthand of referring to another movie is the absolutely perfect indicator of what it is, and in this case your invocation of Stigmata did the trick. I can very safely ignore this movie and simply rewatch 1988's The Unholy, starring Hal Holbrook, Ned Beatty, and Ben Cross with a crotchful of
