I picked up Destiny 2. I’m liking it so far. I never bothered with the first one past the intro stuff but I’m having a pretty good time so far. I’m really hoping it doesn’t trigger my MMO addiction too badly.

I gave up on Nier too, Matt, and for much the same reason. The ideas were interesting, but it never felt all that fun to play. (I’ve come to realize in the last few years that game _feel_ is probably the single most important factor for me in enjoying a video game. Which is probably why I’m such a Nintendo stan.)

I remember my first time facing an encounter that turned out to be a No Win Scenario/Kobayashi Maru of sorts in gaming — Space Quest II. You reach the antagonist Vorhaul and he vaporizes you and I was really young when first playing it so I’d just learned to associate HUGE wall of text with “I guess I failed” and

My friend was over at my place the other weekend and he started playing Bloodborne...and promptly stopped playing it once he dies to the werewolf that he is supposed to die to (so the game can introduce you to the Hunter’s Dream and how death works). He was literally one loading screen from the next part of the game,

I like to grind a good hole.

Why is this not appearing under the Games section? I only found it in the endless scroll beneath another article. God damn it, Kinja.

Definitely continue on in Twilight Princess. It’s no Breath of the Wild (what is?), but it’s an excellent improvement on the rough draft laid out in Ocarina of Time. The confrontations deliver on the promise of that title, and the environments and communities you encounter are pretty cool. The dungeons, though, are

That horse escort quest really was the worst. Agreed on the horse controls. And that’s a real shame about not saving. I hope you can get past it, because IIRC that is just before you start getting to the main dungeons of the game, which are excellent. I should pick that game up again myself. Another cool thing added

Enjoy that cathartic deletion! I’ll get on the Destiny 2 train eventually, but not likely before the first DLC stop. You should pick up Mario Kart 8 (if you don’t have it already) and join us for MK8 on the 8th nights! It’s generally a rousing tournament, and a handful of us get together on the Unofficial

Hey folks. This past week has been mostly Overwatch, with a touch of Tacoma on the side. I ran through all ten placement matches last night for Season 6 of Competitive Overwatch, and found myself only 100 points lower than my ending rating from Season 5. I had heard that they were removing the rollback mechanism that

I started over in Skyrim and am now frying people with Palpatine hands as a sorceress. I’m having a lot of fun zapping things in the game, but clearing the map is quite the daunting task; especially since I will be setting it aside come Tuesday.

I got a letter this week from a very important television personality:

Here we are again folks. This week I finished off my Uncharted no aim blindfire-only odyssey, Untargeted, and let’s see if I can put in a link to it instead of embedding an obtrusive video: HERE
