Unrelatedly, but hopefully of interest: a friend told me yesterday that Laddersmith Gilligan's dead body is in the Profaned Capital.
I thought they were failed dragons, like what Aldia was doing in DS2. I'm not sure if I read that or heard it or just assume it because of the wings. I felt sorry for the one that doesn't attack, but my sympathy ended when I came across that one that lunges at you from the cell.
Agreed. It's my new favorite boss fight of the series (sorry, Sir Alonne!)
I've only played Origins, but really enjoyed the characters/story, so my opinion is from a very limited view. BUT, I would really enjoy a DA game that has Dark Souls type combat.
I agree. I'm fairly competent at the Souls games, and I had a rough time with Nioh. I played for about an hour and did not get to the 1st boss. I kept dying to 3 guys up the hill that would all come charging at me at once. 1v1 I was doing ok, but more than that, and I just got wrecked.
Tough decision. I just finished The Last of Us this past week, having stopped about 3/4 of the way through last year. Interestingly, I had stopped right before a big event happens, in the Fall section, and it really spurred me on to finish it, and I was even thinking about doing another playthrough on a higher…
Wow, good to know. My coworker was complaining about not being able to for that boss, and eventually solo'd him. I can't wait to share this with her! *cackles gleefully*
That's probably a good assumption, although I've assumed I'm going to have to fight him at some point.
That's a good point about the password, but I've had mixed success with trying to co-op with friends - sometimes it works immediately, other times it takes several minutes, and sometimes it never works at all.
Was the ballista in Smouldering Lake a Demons Souls callback? I seem to remember a similar contraption on a bridge on the way to the Fool's Idil boss.
Sir Alonne is my favorite. So far.
"Orgy of 50 priests". Too true. Do you think the boss fight was inspired by the works of Marquis de Sade?
I also constantly feel under levelled in each area. I just made to… a familiar, beloved place, and the enemies wrecked my shit. So I phantom'd at the previous boss fight to gain some levels.
Have fun adulting! I scheduled Tues off. I had to fight the urge to take the whole week, as Mrs. B would not have been amused with using so much PTO for gaming.
I agree about The Division, and it only gets worse once you reach end-game - the hard and challenging missions are fun at first, but then it just becomes a grind for materials to try to craft decent weapons and gear. Hopefully the update on Tues with the guaranteed High End drops from named enemies will add some…
I upgraded the HD in my PS4 this week, and I've only re-downloaded Destiny and The Division, so that's what I'll be playing. Although, I saw the shamefully abandonded The Last of Us in my library and may re-download that to finally finish it this weekend. Just biding time until Dark Souls 3, really.
The Dark Zone is kind of a failure, in my opinion, as a PvP area. Right now, it seems to operate as just another pve area. There really isn't any "winning" in it, it's just an area to grind yet another type of experience (DZ Exp) and currencies (DZ Funds and Phoenix Credits), to buy gear at special vendors. At…
"Um, honey? Why are you sitting on the controller?"
Right? That character is what kept me playing the game, after I had given up once already right before meeting him.
