I will second this. I felt drugged from reading these books. They are so strange, but compelling. It takes multiple readings to fully get what's going on.

I never did finish Lolita, or saw the movie, so all I remember of it is how funny it was.

Controller hog - why didn't you let them play?

Thanks, but I pulled the trigger tonight and bought it. And I cannot even make it through the tutorial! This is going to take a lot of practice to get the timing of the button presses right. I'm playing on PS4 and I'm not sure if it's better to use the d pad or the control stick. Neither work well for me!

OH, I remember it now - on dead bodies on little ledges.

Whaaa?! Secret items in the Nexus? I'll have to investigate. I had given up hope of ever getting the platinum in Demon's Souls, what with the white/black tendencies, but maybe I need to revisit it again, sometime soon.

Thanks for offering another view of this game! Maybe it will help my general ill-ease about being in its world.

I cannot agree more! Although I kind of like Tomb of Giants, and am tolerant of the Duke's Archives. But Lost Izilith and New Londo Ruins are the pits. Literally.

Or is it t.A.T.u.? Like the Russian "lesbian" music duo.

May you have many Happy Birthday Bitches on your special day. But those Bitches can be expensive, so don't get your hopes up.

Yes, I love all the Souls games. I think Dark Souls is my favorite, at least up through Anor Londo.

Good point! And I actually did save a backup to USB right before fighting Gehrman, because I wasn't sure I was doing what I needed to do to get the "secret" ending. So maybe that is the way to go! Although I'm at a much higher level now, so maybe not…

Oh shit, I didn't realize there was another boss to kill! I thought I just needed a weapon and gemstone from the dungeons. Thanks.

Oh, ok, thanks. One more question, and then I'll stop bothering you. These combos, are they like those in the God of War games? Cause I end up just mashing buttons in those games, so I'd probably suck at MKX versus people who know what they're doing.

Yes, you could, but I've heard the difficulty doesn't scale as much in NG++, so I think it might be easier/quicker to just continue on, rather than starting fresh each time.

Good points. You know, I forgot about the cannon. I have gotten out of the habit of using a gun, cause I cannot reliably stun enemies. I should start practicing that….

Oh, really? He seemed to be doing quite a bit of damage. Of course we were only in a layer 2 dungeon, so maybe that's why.

Thanks for this. I'm old, and have never played any fighting games, but I have enjoyed the pvp in the Dark Souls games, so I am intrigued by the hype around MKX.

From your lips to From's ears.

The quick weapon degradation was one of the things that turned me off, for now; that and the slow combat compared to Bloodborne. I killed the Last Giant and haven't been back.
