There's no law that says they have to 100% stick to whatever was in the comic, especially considering they've tweaked so many other characters and the character only exists to capitalise on shit like Bruce Lee and Carl Douglas in the first place.

That's oddly specific to the comic and I doubt the average viewer knows or cares. Plus he's still the awesome white guy skilled in eastern arts.

As far as stereotypes go, I'd take ass kicking skills over excessive hand gestures or a predilection for crime any day

Thanks honky.

I just think they really missed a great opportunity to do something different.
What it looks like now is blandy McTyrell from Westeros as the edgy trust fund kid. Seriously who gives a shit?

the whole "white guy learns martial arts and becomes the best at it" trope is pretty fucking lame in this day and age

Dude, you need to hand the Homeland reins to someone else. It's fair enough if you don't like the show: everything isn't for everybody, and I would be hopeless at reviewing something like Gilmore Girls, but every week you are shitting on it for increasingly spurious reasons.

because how else would we know he's evil?

Do yourself a favour and watch Heat. It is absolutely no shit a masterpiece film.

Yemen? Yeah man.

It actually keeps getting better into season 2!

plus the guy who stole the bag had an even more punchable face than Cruise

I've been enjoying Kassovitz in Le Bureau des Legendes recently

it really stands the test of time as a 'message' film and as a work of art

your neighbourhood bully was a blind kid?

hahahha that last line

Well I'm always meaning to revisit it. In all honesty I wasn't that keen on Miami Vice at the cinema but it has really grown on me. Admittedly the style more than the substance. The dirty Dubliner is just unlikeable, and Gong Li is terrible in it.

haha yeah that's the ticket

Every two years I go to a work industry event in Berlin and they have a party in some god awful place with vaulted ceilings. I always refer to it as "like the club from Bad Boys"

Nick Leeson, Sarin attack in Tokyo, Windows 95, etc
