Thanks Obama!

Zack Wylde is not amused

What I remember the most from that book is the ending, and his young Cubana partner shacking up with the guy Hoke put away years ago, who suddenly gets out of the can and is living across the street from him.

Plus the fact that the 4 books go off on bizarre (but great) tangents, Hoke tries to rent a place within city limits and the landlady's dog starts humping his leg, and they have just flat out weird endings from memory.

yeah holy shit how that didn't get picked up is a crime

I only read The Deep Blue Goodbye and it was great, but it wasn't a patch on Hoke Moseley or the best of Elmore Leonard's Florida-set novels like La Brava.

Can't remember which of the others I tried (one was definitely 'orange') but couldn't get into them at all. Which was a shame as I loved the The Deep Blue Goodbye.

a dildo

This is actually a great book, the others in the series not so much

well done, it's (Glenn) Miller time!

Under The Skin. Absolutely mindbending in a great way. Just when you want to engage with Scarlett's hotness, shit goes completely darkside.

a 'mumjob' is something very different where I'm from

make an appointment at the dentist then, preferably at 2:30

how acute

heh-heh-heh

but if they didn't drag out The Sopranos, we'd be living in a world without Phil Leotardo and who the hell wants that?

Jamie Lannister: "How many times I gotta tell ya? I don't wanna fuck my mudda!"
Dr Melfi: "What about your sister?"
Jamie Lannister: " . . . "

you just blew my mind

tell Bill I said have a Coke and a smile and shut the fuck up, Jello pudding-eating motherfucker

it's only 'mind-blowing' if you're an idiot
