I expanded all the comments and then searched - did anyone mention that “Boy” by Book of Love started playing exactly when Colin walked into the bar? That was a bit on the nose (but also made me chortle, slightly. you have to be at least as old as me or have a fondness for 80's danceable music to recognize it.)
What’s so funny to me is that there is an “Executive Story Editor” and writer working for this show named....Ava Coleman. Every week I see her name in the credits and am momentarily confused.
This is great! I really enjoyed her part in Steven Universe (yes, she got to sing, although not nearly enough.)
Every time a story comes out about “(female star) made x amount for big movie from the past, (male star) made x+millions more for the same movie” suddenly everyone is a contract negotiation/marketability expert. It is tedious, and very predictable now.
Diane Keaton adopted two kids after fifty. Did that bother you when that happened?
Who is “we?”
It’s SO GOOD.
I was talking with a young health professional (a woman, about 30, maybe slightly younger) recently about visiting Las Vegas, and she said that she didn’t want to, because she was AFRAID OF BEING KIDNAPPED. I hide a lot of content that is about women being waylaid/abducted and “how to escape traps set for you while…
The Decemberists are definitely worse.
I loved that :-)
Oh that is GROSS. I am a latecomer to SU, love it (all of it, including Future) and am continually a little bereft that I have missed out on things from the past that I could have enjoyed because I didn’t get into it in real time. Knowing what I know about the fandom (I do subscribe to the subreddits) sometimes I’m…
You know, I can’t really argue with that.
Slowly?
Klaus Nomi was a German pastry chef with a beautiful countertenor. The makeup and costumes were just window dressing.
re: the Lady Gaga item, here’s a PSA for anyone who still thinks the name “Newsweek” means anything - the brand has changed hands many times and now “news” is secondary to clickbait and rewrites of reddit posts.
I was describing the plot of M3GAN to my spouse, when I realized that all of the women who were the core cast in HBO’s Girls were nepo babies. I had to look up who Jemima Kirke’s father was, but it was impressive nonetheless.
Let me guess - Ever Anderson is the child of a model/actor and a director.
Seriously.
So...people criticized her character in EEAAO, did they also criticize her character in Parks and Rec who was a LOT more over-the-top?
