Was Dennis' supposed to be good? Sounded like he slipped back into his Australian accent from Lethal Weapon 5 a few times.

Cusack you mean? I wouldn't go that far, but I certainly wasn't impressed. I also thought Elizabeth Banks was horribly miscast, despite reading lots of praise for her.

His half of the movie was meh, the '60s Paul Dano half was great.

It's kind of unfortunate how if you read any reddit/youtube comments about Bill Burr it's always a bunch of probably 15-18 year old dudes who tout him as some sort of Carlin-esque philosopher. I think he's hilarious, but I've always understood that you're supposed to be laughing at him, for being a fucking lunatic,

I mean, he kinda has a few things to do with it…

Its a little fucked up that as sarcastic as I'm sure you're being, this also feels kinda true.

When Peggy's first messing around with the TV, I think that was the same documentary about beetles that Marge is watching in the movie.

I hadn't seen this before…sounds like it probably was Louis, who said some inappropriate shit to her 10 years ago, he apologized, and that's about that. A little disappointing that he has/had those tendencies, but not at all worthy of dragging his name and career through the mud like some people still seem determined

Made a flank steak with butter, put on a pair of wet socks and went to sleep.

Ok I'll just ask…what does 'touched' mean exactly in that context?

And his alcoholism is played entirely for laughs.

I'm ok with LD hanging around the studio every week and interjecting as needed.

I would like to know what Larry David and Taran Killam were talking about during the goodnight. They were having quite the chat…

No worries, thanks! I've already read Tina and Amy so I've been looking for stuff in a similar vein. Gaffigan and Offerman are good choices as well, and I'm giving Modern Romance a spin today.

Any recommendations other than the ones you listed? I've got a job where listening material is a necessity to get through the day and I was just thinking to grab a bunch of audio books. Comedy stuff sounds perfect.

I would also argue that Heart of Darkness is a fucking slog and Apocalypse Now unlocks the story in a much more powerful and effective way.

Yes, but to be fair, I don't think that impression was too much of a stretch for Larry. They're basically the same person.

That and he seems to botch like 98% of his (usually lame, predictable) punchlines. I gave him benefit of the doubt for a bit but it started to feel like the whole thing was a misfire and he's really just not a good fit for the gig.

Is Wilmore not awkward and ill-conceived anymore? Cause I saw no signs of that slowing down and gave up on it

It was totally sappy and I'm sure will get clickbaited to all hell in few hours time, but damn if that Days of Our Lives stunt didn't break right through my cold cynical heart.
