“Lastly, I don’t think any person would have chosen Hillary as a paragon of virtue and human decency.”
Pence also has all the charisma of a fart, so he will be easier to beat in 2020 if there is an election.
You know, I’ve looked and I’ve looked and I just can’t see anywhere in my comment where I said a single fucking thing about Hillary Clinton.
As the residents of Trumpistan are so fond of saying, she lost. Get over it. Focus on the short-fingered piss golem we’ve got to deal with now.
I don’t think any reasonable person doubts that those things would be far less likely under Clinton.
My expectations and hopes are unbelievably low. I’ll actually consider the next four years a success if there are no nuclear weapons deployed and no significant land wars. I’m assuming that the economy, the social safety net, and basic human decency are already doomed.
Public roads run at a loss too. Maybe we shouldn’t build those either?
Why do you have to use your car to do errands, or even get groceries, in a sufficiently dense city? Plenty of places where people do that on mass transit, or walk to them...
They should all pack up and move to Libya or Somalia, they will have very little to worry about the government interfering in their lives. Pure capitalism
Her popular vote margin over Bernie was even larger than her popular vote margin over Trump.
HamNo, it’s basic economics. If I’m a business owner and I make $100 and pay my employees $20 and am taxed $15 and pay $10 for upkeep and supplies, then I only take home $55. If you cut the tax portion to $10, then I take home $60 and can use that $5 in saving to pay bums to fight each other to the death for my son’s…
Hillary would have too, ya know.
I also live in Chicago and I just go to the gym on the way home from work. That way I don’t infuriate the people who live below me by repeatedly jumping up and down on my floor for an hour a day (though your second description of your actual workout sounds like it would be fine).
Yes, unions vs. transgender bathroom rights, the classic “either-or” choice.
Had Elizabeth run I could have cast a vote for a nationalist, a populist, a thoughtful and honorable person who carries with her no sense of superiority or pretension. She is noble in her actions and usually in her words. Hell, she wrote a personal finance book that is still working its way through my mind.
The answer to any question that begins with “is Trump smart enough” is no.
“Someone remind me why Sanders’ inner circle wrote off the South again?”
The DNC nominated the person who got the most votes. By a lot.
If you want to cast aspersions, though, cast aspersions on the people in the Democratic party who were secretly (or not so secretly) hoping for a Trump nomination, because they thought he’d be a walkover.* Cast aspersions on the people inside the Clinton…
groan.
Cry me a fucking river of clean tears.
