And sadly, those chronic pain patients are getting screwed over as well. As the crisis worsens, docs are becoming less and less willing to prescribe any opiates whatsoever, even to those who are on working, well-monitored, stable doses of opioids precisely because there’s nothing else that works.

This is what I’m fighting with, unfortunately. Chronic pain patient, doc flat-out refuses to even consider opiates as a treatment option, under any circumstances, no matter how ineffective other options may be.
