Just you wait. I hear the House is considering setting up some kind of Committee to ferret out all those who are against those in charge, those whose Activities are, shall we say, Un-American?

Sadly, reporting may not have done anything anyways. I’ve received them before, replete with slurs, and generally been told by FB that they didn’t violate community standards. Making the threat public did, though. So apparently you’re all good if you tell a ‘t****y’ that you’re going to find them and take them out…
Yes, let’s hear it for the Party of Family Values! Wonder if he can still run for office while in prison. I mean, we all know this ‘incident’ won’t stop a certain segment of the population from voting for him so long as there’s an ‘R’ next to his name on the ballot.
11 per 100,000 (for trans people, listed in that comment,) is lower than 6.6 per 100,000 (given in the article you posted)? Good to know math works.
From one of the comments on that same article... https://medium.com/@Duggan90/your-data-is-way-off-d7623ef24a6d
Unfortunately, with how acceptable (and fashionable) open hatred, prejudice and bigotry seem to be these days, I can only see these numbers growing. Especially with all the dogwhistle cries of “religious freedom” that seem to be so popular. It even seems to be a growing issue within the LBGT community, which makes it…
We’re not a member of that specific council at present, so wouldn’t have been voting on this resolution. (I’m not sure why we’re not, if it’s a rotating thing like the Security Council or something like that, but we’re not part of it right now.)
I completely agree with you. Being trans and that high visibility is a deeply terrifying prospect.
I wish it was different. Unfortunately, at this point, I am fully expecting things to get much, much worse before it gets better. I don’t know what can be done, either, on a large scale to stop things like this.
Who’d have thought Reagan’s ‘gaffe’ was just a foreshadowing of the Covfefe Carrot doing it for real?
Already seen it from some of his supporters. Somehow the ‘communications’ they did aren’t actually official enough to be official business, and therefore it’s ok that they did it. I can’t explain their position any better than that because I just couldn’t wrap my head around that level of solipsistic contortion.
Personally, I’m curious about how much the military pays out for other ‘voluntary’ medical issues which cause soldiers to be out of commission for extended periods of time. Like say, pregnancy. Soldier gets pregnant, they’re out for what, a year or two? How much does the military pay for that?
Dammit, now they’re starting to kill off LBGT characters before they even hit the screen.
It’s worse than that. There are huge swaths of people from all walks who have this whole “taxation is theft” bullshit belief system. They’re every bit as detestable as the wealthy bitching about how much (little) they pay.
Remember though, even if it was a bomb, under no circumstances is this terrorism. You can only commit terrorisms against good, upstanding (white), Christians. (And maybe atheists, but I’m not too sure about that.) It’s also only a terrorism if the person who did it isn’t a good, upstanding (white), Christian. (Again,…
Agoraphobic with social anxiety to boot. I’d love to be able to walk up to strangers and start a conversation. Or do social things on my own. Or, you know, actually interact with people in real life in general.
Came into the greys looking to see how long it would take for someone to do essentially just that. Sadly, far too little time. (Not your comment, another in the greys. You are awesome.)
Why was her first reaction to film him? Considering the rates at which sex workers are abused, beaten, killed, etc (especially if trans), if I were in that business I’d be filming everyone I could with a hidden camera. That way in case things went bad, at least there was some evidence of who the hell did it.
Essentially, these kinds of bills won’t really have much of an effect upon those transgender individuals who ‘pass’ as their gender. They’ll most likely just continue on with their business, paying no mind to it.
Completely agree with this.
