And sadly, those chronic pain patients are getting screwed over as well. As the crisis worsens, docs are becoming less and less willing to prescribe any opiates whatsoever, even to those who are on working, well-monitored, stable doses of opioids precisely because there’s nothing else that works.
This is what I’m fighting with, unfortunately. Chronic pain patient, doc flat-out refuses to even consider opiates as a treatment option, under any circumstances, no matter how ineffective other options may be.
I don’t know how true this is, but someone said this originally started as a bit of an in-joke in an online Autistic community, with regards to pica. If true, it would at least make some sense.
The same one in which the current Carrot-In-Chief is considered competent for his position? (Well, enough to get elected, at least.)
I have already seen at least one person claiming, “this happens to men who are whistleblowers too. If women want to be equal, this is what they get.”
Sadly, I’ve already seen at least one guy mouth off with “well the same happens to men when they whistleblow on someone powerful. If women want to be equal, this is what they get.”
The Belko Experiment, only on the Capitol building and WH? Seems reasonable. Can I have the PPV rights?
Just you wait. I hear the House is considering setting up some kind of Committee to ferret out all those who are against those in charge, those whose Activities are, shall we say, Un-American?
Sadly, reporting may not have done anything anyways. I’ve received them before, replete with slurs, and generally been told by FB that they didn’t violate community standards. Making the threat public did, though. So apparently you’re all good if you tell a ‘t****y’ that you’re going to find them and take them out…
Yes, let’s hear it for the Party of Family Values! Wonder if he can still run for office while in prison. I mean, we all know this ‘incident’ won’t stop a certain segment of the population from voting for him so long as there’s an ‘R’ next to his name on the ballot.
What I found was that a search would usually yield 10-20 different results from websites running the same exact content. No byline and usually no clue as to where it originated. It was intriguing that all of these shitty blogs with flags and eagles in the background were just mirroring each other and their readers…
Oh I definitely like that leather jacket. I’d take one of those, any day. This is actually a pretty impressive line of clothes, for comic-themed fashion.
11 per 100,000 (for trans people, listed in that comment,) is lower than 6.6 per 100,000 (given in the article you posted)? Good to know math works.
From one of the comments on that same article... https://medium.com/@Duggan90/your-data-is-way-off-d7623ef24a6d
Unfortunately, with how acceptable (and fashionable) open hatred, prejudice and bigotry seem to be these days, I can only see these numbers growing. Especially with all the dogwhistle cries of “religious freedom” that seem to be so popular. It even seems to be a growing issue within the LBGT community, which makes it…
I’m still upset they didn’t do an episode showing events from everyone else’s point of view. Did ‘Past Frank’ just disappear when ‘Future Frank’ arrived? Were they playing poker with him and he’d just vanish? Did they just shoot ‘Past Frank’ and bury the body so there wouldn’t be two? Done right, he’d never know about…
We’re not a member of that specific council at present, so wouldn’t have been voting on this resolution. (I’m not sure why we’re not, if it’s a rotating thing like the Security Council or something like that, but we’re not part of it right now.)
I completely agree with you. Being trans and that high visibility is a deeply terrifying prospect.
I wish it was different. Unfortunately, at this point, I am fully expecting things to get much, much worse before it gets better. I don’t know what can be done, either, on a large scale to stop things like this.
Who’d have thought Reagan’s ‘gaffe’ was just a foreshadowing of the Covfefe Carrot doing it for real?
