Real question: why would this kind of fix not fall under some kind of warranty against defects or recall? What is the line between bad and faulty design? Just seem bizarre to me that in the litigious world we live in that this wouldn’t get fixed (assuming it is, in fact, a bad design and not just an un-sexy one).

On a typical US domestic flight on major carriers (Delta, American, United) there are ~2 unsold premium seats at the time of departure. Depends on route, day, time, etc. These are given to ticketed passengers with the highest status. For example, on American there are 5 tiers: Concierge Key, Executive Platinum,

You’re not wrong per se but what you’re describing is fund investing in general (PE or not). Firm holds a small equity stake in a larger pot while clipping a substantial fee and some kind of performance based promote...

I know it’s sacrilege to even suggest this but Jalopnik would be smart to distance itself from Deadspin and try to partner with Barstool on this. It would increase and broaden readership and - most importantly - give you an opportunity to actually affect the change to NASCAR and Barstool that you desire.

This is excellent EXCEPT the equation in the heading... in copy/paste you lost the subscripts so it doesn’t make sense. At first I thought torch just mashed a bunch of letters and numbers together and was highly offended.

A little homophobic, no?

Don’t knock punter fetishists.

I love that this “did the media really not believe in the patriots” thing is a story line. And I love even more that the media - who definitely basked in unusual patriots miscues this season - are so defensive about it.

That was a ~750 word blog about an event that was fully summarized by warren sapp in his tweet. Although the anecdote by Sapp IS very interesting, you could just post the tweet without commentary. Basically everything other than the context in the first paragraph is superfluous. Don’t you guys have an editor?

Planning or spending any added $ around this info is a bad idea. Airlines swap out planes all the time minutes, hours, days, weeks or months before departure.

Wouldn’t the right thing to do be to resign?

Don’t you worry you’re playing into Portnoy’s schtick? If you ignore him he goes away and his “barstool against the world” thing loses its luster.

“Dirty Slag” is a fantastic badge. I mean incredibly trashy, but also fantastic.

I demand to know HamNo’s opinion on this scab.

I mean that’s not supported by viewer data (Sox games are outperforming celts/Bruins; pats are kind of apples and oranges) but whatever you say.

Man, you guys HATE Barstool Sports. Things can be both tragic and funny. Not sure they really articulated their point (Katz kind of did) but if you can’t laugh at Trump and his stooges the way you laugh at President Comacho (no idea how that’s properly spelled and not going to look it up) then I guess I just feel a

Isn’t this actually smart? Like if you can get past the fury over governments buying into fallacy that these kinds of stadiums for world cups and olympics are beneficial beyond the event itself, isn’t it at least smart that they build a reasonable stadium with temporary extra capacity rather than a giant stadium that

Draw a little rudimentary force vector diagram and you’ll see why what your saying isn’t true (although it’s an easy mistake to make).

This is one of your best ideas, one you should patent instead of giving away for free!

Thank you for your insight.
