Um, yeah. But for a fandom that has an explanation or rationalization for everything, this gets whitewashed.

It's natural to get an erection when stimulated. That doesn't mean you should take it out and take care of business when in public.
This article was about assisted suicide for terminal illnesses rather than general disabilities. As it points out, it hasn't led to a rash of murders in places where it's been introduced. It seems like we actually are ready for it, insofar as we're ready for anything.
Hayter's gonna hate.
Hayters gonna hate.
Looks like albert einstein and roger ebert had a transporter accident.
That is the kind of hair that you get when you science the ever loving shit out of things all day long.
Highlights from the work's conflict of interest statement: "Harris Interactive was commissioned by eHarmony.com to perform a nationally representative survey of individuals in America married between 2005 and 2012. Harris Interactive was not involved in data analyses. J.T.C. is a scientific advisor to eHarmony.com,…
You misread something. It doesn't matter in the game's narrative that she's not white. It does, however, matter to the game industry and (many) gamers in general, because it's a positive step towards more diversity in video games without falling back on racial and gender stereotypes.
Textually speaking it doesn't matter (and that's what's awesome about it). But please do not believe that because it's not relevant within the text that it's not a huge deal in real world modern media. A woman of colour as a leading role in a big game is a big deal and it does matter. Yes they could have make her…
The way I read the article is that the author is saying it's refreshing to have a game not make a deal out of race. It's kinda pointing out that the story inside Remember Me is made in a way similar to how you seem to think about race: It's not relevant. Race is not as important as who the person is.
In the context in the game it has no effect. You can change her into a man, or a robot, and nothing would change. The character advances through the plot dealing with philosophical and moral choices. It having an impact on our society in regards to how it perceives race and gender in video games is a different matter.…
Every commenter saying, "but she's not black — she's as much white as she is black!"...just...just...I want you not to exist. I really want you idiots to stop existing altogether. You are everything wrong with Kotaku. Failing that, please get it through your head that THAT'S NOT THE POINT OF THE GODDAMNED ARTICLE.
Wh…
My favorite part is when you tell black people that they don't understand profit motive. So good.
Thank you, intrepid white people, for telling us all what is "actually black". God knows all of those biracial people, those raised in other countries/cultures, those who don't use ebonics, and those with too-relaxed/not-relaxed-enough hair are happy to know that they no longer qualify. Huzzah, it's the Jefferson kids…
The whole point of what Lindy said is not calling for censorship or "you're not allowed." It was if you make jokes that are repulsive, you get to be socially ostracized and called out for being a disgusting human being. We GET to go to your advertisers and get them pulled if they don't want to be associated with your…
It serves 2 purposes.
Allow me to be the first:
I had other ideas. Then I saw this and thought "pretty much all of the prequel aliens" except maybe the Gungans and maybe Watto. I hate Jar Jar, but his race is not so bad.
Y'know, I think gratuitous sexiness should be allowed to be considered inoffensive under the condition of equal amounts of each gender.
