Yes that’s all very clear in the film. The film is not the question. The recent question has been about the merchandise surrounding the outfit, which Disney has decided to stop selling.

Do a Google image search for “slave Leia”and tell me honestly no one has sexy ideas about it until uptight liberals come around. People have always complained about this - not that Leia is enslaved in the film, but the way her enslavement is treated by fans and by the merchandise.
It’s not about holding older works of art to modern sensibilities. It’s not even really about the fact that the costume exists in the movie - it’s that the merchandise and the way that costume is treated outside the film.
I think it’s probably because the other ones don’t problematically fetishize a woman’s sexual degradation, which is a real problem in the real world, and *that’s* what the father is actually talking about.
This response is weird. “Tell your daughter that she was forced to wear this bikini against my will...so here’s an action figure commemorating that act of degradation.”
I like this theory.
It seems possible the rumors about explosives are a manufactured red herring on Megan’s part.
It seems like this is a Batman fever dream about a world where ,Superman rules.
I miss you every single day...
Right, it confuses hyperdrives by creating a huge artificial gravity well.
Yeah, IIRC Interdictirs work by manipulating particles inside those bubbles.
Ah, so you’re of the “racism doesn’t exist in Europe” school.
The next step is putting the chimps in the room with the door and the object...
Europe invented our current racial construct.
That’s interesting - Spaniards are, I guess, situationally white.
“I think you’ll find that everybody throughout time has ideas has had ideas about Us and Them, but they change periodically.”
Maybe the Sullustan understands English/Galactic Basic, and they understand Sullustan?
So does everyone else speak Sullustan? Oddly, one of the best things in The Phantom Menace was Anakin speaking Huttese to Huttese speakers.
But would a synopsis tell you whether the story is well told? Or winds up being enjoyable?
Why doesn’t that Sullustan just say “Got it” or “Roger”? Is there an EU explanation ever for why this happens?
