To be fair, I don't think what Rob meant when he said "human" was referring to biology. Superman is not, physically, a human. And he makes a joke about it to let a pretty girl know he intends to keep her. Which I thought was a pretty human thing to do.

I don't think Man of Steel was perfect, but I just don't understand where these particular criticisms come from.

You mean the creator of the thing? How selfish of the creator to want money for a thing he made that was used without his permission to make money for someone else.

Katamari Damacy.

Right, but once they DO breed, we reclassify. Hence my question.

It doesn't imply that at all. It implies it's not a bad game, but that it doesn't capture the feeling of Superman.

"And can you make sure you slice the ham thin? Seriously, no more than 20 microns or it's inedible."

Look. It's a train of thought.

And yet the movie won't stop showing us how wrong Pa Kent is. There are probably about a dozen people in this movie who either grew up with Clark or worked with him at some point and it looks like not a single one of them talked to the news after Zod asks for Kal. I guess I just don't see what's so dark and tortured about this Superman. The world around him is darker than we're used to, but the character himself seems like the Supes I grew up on.

7.5 Deens.

"Although I liked Man of Steel, I was really taken aback by Pa Kent telling Clark not to reveal his powers when he’s young, even if it means letting people die. Superman’s supposed to save people, right? Why did DC make this change?"

Superman DOES save people. Pa Kent gets proven wrong. Did we watch the same movie?

' I also find it funny how many people were saying that if the universe is not "natural" then so much else collapses in physics. Why can't we just accept that there are some things we cannot understand now, that one day human being will understand?'

And the answer appears to be:

Got it.

Got it!

The question is why they are still considered a separate species if the genetics are telling us we bred with them.

But then why are Neanderthals considered a separate species, if we absorbed them through breeding also?

I...are these my only two options?

"That literally has to happen. But for me I was really interested in – and maybe it’s because Barack Obama’s president now – it’s okay for Superman to be American."
