"...but in today's society a larger and larger number is from some kind of collective group think of idiocy and hatefulness. Then it gets perpetuated by the fact they think they've formed some new kind of family."

Like in an uncanny valley way?

It's a piece of art, and art is about the artist's choices, their implications, and what they mean to other people. I'm not implying that teenagers wearing hoodies did not attack him or never attack anyone, or implying that his experience wasn't scary - I'm saying that crafting a story where troubled urban youth are

"You do realize that an overwhelming majority of meth users are white...right?"

Yes. Fear the different looking teenagers wearing hoodies. They are monsters that can sense your fear.

Yeah, no one thinks Mitt Romney's sexist *because of that comment,* but that comment combined with how sexist he is...

Exactly - the whole POINT of secession is that there are, you know, reasons. The movies were selling the idea that the Republic was corrupt and increasingly ineffective - what this means is that there have to be a whole lot of Separatist worlds who are legitimately interested in not being in the Republic because the

Thank ya, thank ya.

THANKS SO MUCH! (It's *Barbot* but I'm honored enough to let it slide.)

Christ almighty I'm so glad someone else thinks the film's ending was better than the comic's. Then again, I always kind of felt that Alan Moore wanted Ozymandias to finally, actually be a supervillain, an honest-to-God, over the top, completely insane supervillain.

There was recently a stage adaptation of The Lathe of Heaven in NYC. Heard it was pretty good.
