I'd like to go off on a pedantic tangent and complain about the use of "science" as a verb. I see this all the time now, people "doing science." They're doing science EXPERIMENTS. The question should not be is science is going to be done there, but if scientific experiments are going to be done there! Science is not a

Free market globalization is only interested in the probes if they can be weaponized to carry deadly neurotoxins in a preemptive strike against the Martian menace.

I've heard "wheels" bandied about here or there when talking about New Canaan.

But…but…fucking magnets!

It's a bit like people complaining that Taco Bell isn't really Mexican food. As someone else on here said, no one goes to Taco Bell to eat Mexican food. They go to Taco Bell to eat some Taco Bell.

I don't really get the appeal of Totinos. You expend just as much electricity or gas to cook them as an actual pizza which is much larger and often the same price, and the fact that you're cooking them means they aren't a mobile snack that the term "rolls" would imply. They aren't Combos, is what I'm saying.

Yeah, it's just a regular "fuck you" to the people who bought the extravagant Blu-rays, like when HBO puts the deleted scenes and history segments from the Game of Thrones Blu-rays up on Youtube every year.

Is there something wrong with "the Netflix model" and the rewarding thereof, in fact so wrong that you and I assume others derisively refer to it as "the Netflix model"?

The show was on for six years/seasons, the Fring spoiler being the only real spoiler there happened over two years ago, if not three (I'd have to think for a minute). Get over being spoiled and get to watching the darn show!

According to some others on here who've seen their recent concerts, they've been covering The Who for years! *rimshot*

This talk of "prog" is all a plot to get Fripp to let them into the new King Crimson so they can be relevant again.

If you look up a rare table called "Zingy Bingy" (NSFW!), you'll see that pinballs were sometimes literally "balls"…

Stern already did a Star Trek machine, it just came out.

I just went to a place like that that opened up where I live, owner had about three dozen machines he's shopped to perfection, it was amazing.

But I just made a big long post about playing pinball at a pinball parlor on the last "Pop Culture Weekend" article. I got to sing "Pinball Wizard" out loud while playing a copy of "Wizard!".

I don't know that they SHOULD, but I think they COULD, assuming whoever controls the estates of the other two were okay with it.

I don't even know that it's necessarily an ethical issue, either. Are the heirs of the other bandmates being cut out of royalties and such? The death of a bandmate is something not necessarily in control of the other members—it's not like some bands where like one guy has, against the wishes of most of the rest of the

The Beginning To A Long Goodbye would make a cool album title, though.

To be fair, his online handle IS Snidely Q. Dooshebagh, not Snuggles M. McAusome.

This was 30 years ago, but apparently a local truck company routinely dumped used oil in a creek out back of the truck yard. When someone pointed out that this was dangerous, the owner said, "We've been dumping oil in that creek for 30 years and nothing's happened to anybody yet!"
